“The Zagros Man” can be seen as a prelude to a much larger story—a narrative somewhere between history, mythology, and imagination.
In building this world, I have tried, wherever possible, to draw inspiration from archaeological evidence and what we know of the ancient past. But not every element in this story is presented as historical fact. Some details belong to my own interpretation and the fictional world I am creating.
One of those elements is the tattoos and markings on the characters’ bodies. My personal thought is that, because tattooing can be achieved with relatively simple tools and does not necessarily require complex technology, humans may have practiced forms of permanent body marking far earlier than the surviving evidence currently allows us to confirm—perhaps for ritual, spiritual, symbolic, or identity-related purposes. This is a narrative hypothesis, not a claim of established historical fact.
This video represents only a small glimpse of the larger story I have in mind. For now, technical and production limitations prevent me from developing it on the scale I envision, so I am choosing to pause here.
I hope that one day I can bring together a professional team and give the world of “The Zagros Man” the scale, depth, and cinematic life it deserves.
This is not the end of the story.
Perhaps it is only the prologue.:
