The Wren The Wren is an electro-acoustic songbird composed by musician/producer Vilma Timonen and Jouni Järvinen (Jay Ravine, Hyena EXT).

The Wren’s musical practice builds on soundscapes where chaos and beauty intertwine. The Wren took off in the spring of 2025. Driven by instinct and curiosity rather than convention, the Wren’s musical practice builds on soundscapes where chaos and beauty intertwine. Its musical branches lead to 90s trip hop, ambient, film music, jazz and sonic art.

"Floes" is founded on deep bass and a soothing pulse that creates a backdrop for a dialogue between tubular bells and keys. 🎶

The tubular bell sounds are surgically modified using an audio spectrogram, resulting in a almost unidentifiable yet intensely resounding sonic texture. The original recording was made in a medieval church in Hollola, Finland.
