SWIPE to see the cable on the front of the Boughline sweater! 🧶🍂

I wanted to keep this design simple, with just one decorative element: a branching cable that runs all the way down the front.

The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, with raglan sleeves and a classic ribbed neckline. I've also made a video tutorial showing how to knit the neckline.

Boughline Sweater is now live! 🍂

A classic top-down raglan sweater with a branching cable running down the center front. Otherwise, the design is kept simple with Stockinette stitch and classic ribbed edges. A lovely everyday sweater for autumn, easy to style with jeans or trousers.

Which photo do you like the most? 🧶

I’m always wondering which photo works best as a cover image for a pattern on Ravelry, on my website, or anywhere else where you first come across the design.

I always like to take detailed photos for the Ravelry pattern page and my website, so that knitters can really see the construction, stitch pattern and finishing before choosing a pattern. And I like sharing these detail shots here on Instagram, too.

But I keep wondering: do the detail photos actually catch your attention, or is it still the photo showing the whole sweater that makes you want to know more? Or does everyone just want to see videos these days?

Some patterns seem to get much more attention than others, and I sometimes wonder how much the cover photo has to do with it.

The whole question of visibility on Instagram has started to feel increasingly exhausting to me. Knitting content is competing for attention with an endless stream of completely unrelated content, and choosing the one image that makes someone stop and look feels more important than ever.

So, I’d really like to know:

Sunday Stories is size inclusive 🧶

Sunday Stories pattern is graded with attention not only to the overall measurements, but also to how body proportions change across the size range.
In particular, the armhole shaping takes into account the proportions between the body and the armhole in different sizes. Rather than simply scaling everything up at the same rate, the shaping is adjusted to create a balanced fit across the full size range.

For me, size-inclusive grading is not just about offering a wide range of finished bust measurements. It is also about considering how the proportions of a garment need to change from one size to another.

Sunday Stories is designed to have a relaxed, slightly oversized fit, with European shoulder construction and an all-over lace pattern.
