𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞? 👀☕️

We took two coffees to the streets of Helsinki and put some coffee drinkers to the test. One was one of Finland’s most sold commercial coffees. The other? Coffee from an award-winning Finnish artisan roastery. 🧐

No coffee jargon. No fancy tasting notes. Just two cups, an honest sip, and one simple question: can you spot the difference? Huge thanks to everyone who had the courage to stop, taste, and tell us exactly what they thought. Some spotted the difference in no time and won two tickets to 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 as a reward. 🎟️🎟️

At 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓, the tasting gets slightly more serious than this little challenge: 100+ different coffees to discover, taste and compare! ☕️🔥 And of course on top of that, you'll get to meet some of the best roasters in Finland!

30 BEST CAFES GALA! ✨️🎉

The list for 𝟑𝟎 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 is ALMOST ready! We are still asking industry professionals to give their vote so the list is as representative as possible.

This year, in addition to the original 30 best cafes voted by industry professionals, we added a 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜'𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 category so everyone was able to vote for their favourite cafe. A big thank you to everyone who voted in both the professional and public polls. The Public’s Choice received over 1500 votes which is amazing since the category was available for the first time ever! 😱🎉

So when will we know which amazing cafes got their name on the list? On Monday, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 21s𝐭, we will announce the 30 best cafes list and the winners of the special categories at The Train Factory, Konepaja, from 7pm onward.🏆

This special event is hosted by Oona Malmström, the founder, entrepreneur, and content creator behind Kaffekaveri. She holds a special place in her heart for the warm, coffee-scented atmosphere of cafés and excellent coffee. For Oona, cafés are places where, in addition to coffee, people share moments, stories, and special encounters. Through Kaffekaveri, she wants to bring people together and highlight wonderful cafés all over Finland. This is exactly what makes her the perfect host for our 30 best cafes gala! ☕💛

Join us for this special gala where we kick off the 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝗪𝐞𝐞𝐤 in style! The entry is free so anyone can stop by and cheer for their favorites. The official after party will be organised at the Taphouse Train Factory, so the evening doesn't have to end after the awards have been given! 🪩🥳

For the last month, we’ve collected votes for 30 Best Cafés in Finland 👀

On September 21st, we’re hosting the Award Ceremony and invite EVERYBODY to join us in celebrating the best cafe around the country 🤩🏆

The Award Ceremony will take place at The Train Factory and their shiny nee Market Hall in Konepaja Vallila! We will start around 19:00 so make sure to arrive in time to grab a drink, save the best seats and root for the cafés as they’ll receive their sought-after diplomas and ”30 Parasta Kahvilaa 2026” stickers - and OF COURSE there will be party afterwards ☕️😎

The search for Finland’s 𝟑𝟎 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐒 is about to begin and the voting is 𝐍𝐎𝗪 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐋𝐋!

This year, for the first time, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞. Alongside the votes from specialty coffee professionals, coffee lovers and customers can also vote for their favourite cafés through a separate public voting form. ❤️

Where have you had your most memorable café experience? How about the best, most delicious cup of coffee or amazing food? Where has the hospitality been remarkable?

IT’S TIME TO LET EVERYONE KNOW!!🗳️

These votes have helped us create the 30 Best Cafes list for the past four years, and we’ve been honoured to be able to give the cafés from all around Finland the recognition they deserve!

Here’s how the voting works:

☕ Industry professionals vote once, ranking their five favourite cafés. They also vote in the three special categories: Best Coffee, Best Food Product and Best Customer Service.

❤️ Customers can vote for their favourite café through a separate public voting form, giving coffee lovers across Finland a chance to celebrate the café they love most.

Voting is open 𝐍𝐎𝗪, and both forms will remain open until 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭.

The 𝟑𝟎 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 and this year’s winners will be announced in the Helsinki Coffee Week kick off event at 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 in Konepaja on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭! More information about the announcement event and Helsinki Coffee Week is coming soon!

The 7th annual 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄 competition is coming! 🔥🏆⁣🤯

In this competition, competing roasteries will have the one and same green (unroasted) coffee sent to them and after that their only task is to roast it as well as they can 🧑‍🔬⁣

The competing roasteries will receive the Competition Coffee from our Green Coffee Partner 𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐄. After receiving the coffee, they’ll have only few weeks time to roast the coffee into perfection 🔥

And who will be evaluating the roasts? The roasters themselves! During 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝗪𝐞𝐞𝐤 the roasters will all come together for an evaluation cupping and taste and rank the competition roasts blind. That’s right, no one knows who’s roast is who’s.. 👀

The winner will be announced at 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 and the competition coffees will be available to taste at the 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐚𝐫! Everyone will get to vote for their favorite cup which will decide the winner of 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞’𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞! 🏆☕️

Last year the title of the winner was taken home by but who will take the trophy home this year 🫨

If you’re a specialty cafe based in Helsinki, and want to be featured on the 2026 edition of DLC, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐢𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 to be one of the cafés in this year’s card.
