We’re beyond excited to share that our very first self-titled EP, KAôS, is officially available on all major streaming platforms — including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, and Amazon Music!
This release brings together both collaborative pieces and solo works from each of our three members — a true reflection of our diverse musical roots and the creative chemistry that defines KAôS.

Nomads Festival presents KAÔS and duo Sayan formed by Sara Majidi Nejad & Khashayar Eshkevari

KAÔS is a trio that blends two string instruments and percussion, featuring members from Taiwan, Iran, and Portugal. The group combines traditional folk music from their respective countries and other regions, presenting diverse tunes from Taiwan, Japan, Iran, Portugal, and beyond.

KAÔS revitalizes these traditional melodies through innovative arrangements, offering new perspectives and a fresh approach. Their music is also infused with personal stories and life experiences, exploring limitless possibilities.

Sara Majidi Nejad: Qanun
João Luis: Percussion

🎶 Duo Sayan: Sara Majidi Nejad & Khashayar Eshkevari

Sara Majidi Nejad is a versatile performer from Iran, specializing in the Qanun and Piano. A graduate of the Tehran Music Conservatory, she focuses on Persian music while exploring Middle Eastern and Balkan styles. Currently pursuing advanced studies in Global Music at the Sibelius Academy in Finland, Sara’s artistry transcends borders, blending genres to create a sound that resonates globally.

Khashayar Eshkevari is an accomplished Iranian musician and vocalist, specializing in the Kamanche and Kamanche Alto. With a deep foundation in Persian classical music, he has expanded his expertise through Global Music studies at the Sibelius Academy. Khashayar has performed extensively across Iran, both as a soloist and in various ensembles, dedicating his work to preserving Persian music while embracing new dimensions through improvisation and collaboration.

Club night, refreshments provided by Café Pokkari.
Duration: apx. 120 min. with intermission.
