Last day of Cobots and Nectar at . Today 13-19!

A working room in motion — textiles, colour, and sculpture unfolding across walls, floors, and ceilings. Sweatshirts transformed, materials recycled, traces layered — a living installation shaped by process, repetition, and change.

A hybrid of sculpture, fashion, and performance — intimate, political, and continuously evolving.

Come experience the final day before it transforms again.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible 🤍

Cobots and Nectar

A site-specific installation transforming the space into a continuous textile landscape.

Sweatshirts — mass-produced everyday garments — are reused, deconstructed, and rebuilt into modular sculptures. Materials circulate, surfaces carry traces, and each work becomes a prologue to the next.

A hybrid of sculpture, fashion, and performance — where repetition, construction, and dissolution form a living artistic process.

Cobots and Nectar. A photographic series exploring the interplay of pattern, interlocking forms, the endless, the body, movement, and costume.

Featuring Emilia Jansson and Hilda Purhonen as “cobots” — companion robots and mechanical bodies — the work unfolds as a ritualistic act within a continuous flow of transformation and collaboration.

The scenography consists of black-and-white patterned textiles enveloping walls and floors. Graphic symbols — The Shape of Sound, developed in collaboration with Jaakko Suomalainen — reappear across choreography, body painting, and styling, creating a visual language that moves between surface and body.

The process was developed in close collaboration with photographer Joonas Sdiri.

The series functions as a poetic prologue to a forthcoming video work, opening an interdisciplinary exploration across text, costume, performance, and sound.

Working on the merch…

In connection with Cobots and Nectar at , a limited merch series will be released, featuring thematic handmade fabric patches and stickers.

These pieces extend the project’s exploration of circulation, value, and reproduction — allowing the work to move beyond the exhibition space and into everyday life.

Limited edition. Part artwork, part artifact, part continuation.

A site-specific installation transforming the exhibition space into a continuous textile landscape.

Through scenography, textiles, photography, and ceremonial sculptures, walls, floors, and ceilings become part of a spatial composition where colour, pattern, and materiality carry the narrative.

The work explores the political and poetic potential of textile. The sweatshirt — a mass-produced everyday garment — is reconfigured through reuse, deconstruction, and handwork into modular constructions.

Materials circulate in a cyclical flow where each work becomes a prologue to the next. Painted surfaces carry traces of previous contexts — records of bodily, accidental, and temporal presence.

A hybrid between sculpture, fashion, and performance, where construction, dissolution, and repetition shape a living artistic process — and where the works become a language for both intimacy and resistance.

A week ago, I was interviewed by Österbottens Tidning ahead of my solo exhibition at Myymälä2 in Helsinki. Many thanks to ÖT and Vasabladet for this.

The exhibition Flies and Honey runs until February 1, 2026.

På frågan om collegetröjorna som hon visar på ett konstgalleri i Helsingfors designdistrikt går att använda ger Jenny Holmlund ett rappt svar. - Det beror på vad du har för personlighet. Om du vågar, säger hon.
