The Helsinki Songwriters Guild is an open, international community for all singer/songwriters. As our community is based in Helsinki, Finland, we especially support artists based in, or passing through, the Helsinki area. Our primary means of support are off
ering both established and beginner singer/songwriters a stage to share their songs. We host an Open Mic Night in Helsinki at Irish bar Molly Malones every Monday night between 19.00 and 22.00. The address is Kaisaniemenkatu 1C, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. There will be a PA, mic stands, mics etc. and there will also be a house guitar available to borrow if you forgot to bring yours! We'd like to focus on original songs (songs you wrote/composed yourself) but covers are welcome too. Please bear in mind that this is not a jam session but a place to share your singer/songwriter and troubadour talents. There will be two mics available so we'd like to focus on individual or duo performers. Of course cajon's, violins, keyboards etc. are welcome too and we're not going to send trios away... but we'd like to keep it as acoustic and intimate as possible, and in that sense unique in Helsinki! All performers will receive 1 drink ticket per evening so your bravery and talent will be rewarded!
