🐦‍⬛ MEET THE PERFORMERS #4 – DOUGIE K POWELL 🐦‍⬛

Whether a drag act has sequins and sparkles or feathers and velvet – none will survive the eventual heat death of the universe!

Dougie K Powell is a British-born-Helsinki-Living performer (and CCC regular), known for their observational, autobiographical, and empathetic comedy style. They have the appearance of a night-dwelling goth and the soul of an introverted gamer-nerd. Together they create a cutie who will probably mention death at some point.

MEET THE PERFORMERS #3 – 💋 FRIDAY, THE PROFESSOR 💋

Friday the Professor is a Brazilian drag artist, DJ, comedian, producer, and host based in Finland since 2020. With 11 years of performance experience, she is known for creating vibrant q***r events that blend comedy, music, and audience interaction, including her signature productions The Fabulous Trivia Night and AFRONTE.

During Pride Month 2026, Friday headlines an impressive 12-event schedule across Helsinki, featuring highlights such as AFRONTE Drag Brunch on June 13th and AFRONTE: Drag is Power on June 26th, alongside multiple Pride-themed trivia nights, bingo shows, and performances.

🖤💜 A Queer-as-heaven comedy show about love, life and faith – all in English – 23 May 2026 at the NoName Theatre 💜🖤

Have you ever considered what difficulty level your life is being played on? Ever wondered if your smart phone is haunted?

A lot has changed since Dougie first came to Finland in 2017 – just in time to ruin family values and cause chaos! They’re ready to share it all in this dark(ish) autobiographical comedy show.
"Consider Your Options" is a show that will make you laugh, think, question and consider re-reading "The Lord of the Rings".

Written & performed by Dougie K Powell and featuring Juuso Kekkonen & Arnaud Praplan

Juuso Kekkonen is an award-winning comedian and theater professional best known for his autobiographical monologue shows and his collaborations with other performing q***r artists. He doesn't recommend life of a performing artist to anybody, but that's what makes him happier than anything else he's tried so far. He is in therapy.

Arnaud Praplan is an ex-foreigner based in Helsinki whose comedy is about both countries he lived in, (imperfectly) becoming Finnish, relationships, sexuality, and whatever random thoughts he has. All of that with a dash of story-telling.

Introducing the acts: #1 🪶 Shangri La Showgirls 🪶

The Shangri-La Showgirls is a Helsinki-based burlesque group. In "Showgirl Mania", vintage Vegas glamour meets chaotic comedic energy. Expect feathers to fly, heels to wobble, egos to explode… and enough glitter fallout to haunt the venue for weeks.

Join us for an evening of comedy drag and burlesque acts on Saturday 30 May @ 7 pm!
