Welcome to the Sunday Movement Improvisation Class, August 16, 2:00–4:00 p.m. 🌳

Syksyn ensimmäisenä kertana liikumme kaupunkiympäristössä, ohjaajana Nadja Leham.
”Tunnin aikana työskentelemme tila- ja ryhmälähtöisesti. Mikä tila tämä on ja miten täällä voi tanssia yhdessä? Minua kiinnostaa tutkia, miten voimme tulla yhteen ja löytää yhteisen rytmin ja tavan liikkua myös isossa avarassa ulkotilassa, koska tuntimme tapahtuvat useimmiten sisätiloissa. Tunnin aikana pääset myös tutustumaan muihin opettajiin, jotka opettavat kauden aikana!
Tunti on mahdollisesti hieman lyhyempi kuin tavallisesti, koska olemme ulkosalla.”

Tapaamispaikka: Helsingin keskustakirjasto Oodin edessä, pääovien edessä (lipan alla), kansalaistorin laidalla. Oodin osoite Töölönlahdenkatu 4.
Aloitamme klo 14, tulethan ajoissa paikalle.

Hinta: Sarjakortti: 27€/6 krt, syksyn kausikortti 60€/17 tuntia.�Yksittäinen tunti: 5€, maksetaan käteisellä opettajalle ennen tuntia tai pankkitilille. Uusille kävijöille tutustumistunti on ilmainen, avustaja voi osallistua aina ilmaiseksi. Kun tuot uuden kaverin mukanasi, tunti on molemmille ilmainen.

For our first session of the fall, we’ll be moving in an urban setting, led by Nadja Leham.
“During the class, we’ll work in a space- and group-oriented way. What kind of space is this, and how can we dance together here? I’m interested in exploring how we can come together and find a shared rhythm and way of moving even in a large, open outdoor space, since our classes usually take place indoors. During the class, you’ll also get to meet the other teachers who will be teaching this season!
The class may be a little shorter than usual since we’ll be outdoors.”

Meeting place: In front of Helsinki Central Library Oodi, by the main entrance (under the awning), next to Kansalaistori. Oodi’s address is Töölönlahdenkatu 4.
We’ll start at 2:00 p.m., so please arrive on time.

Price: Serial Card (6 classes) 27€ , Season Card (17 classes) 60€. The price for a single class: 5€. You can pay in cash to the teacher before the class or our bank account. For a newcomer the first class is free. If you bring someone new to the class then the class is free for you both. The classes are always free for participating assistants.

Kaaos Companyn tanssitunnit aikuisille sekä lapsille jatkuvat jälleen Helsingissä!

Syyskauden aikuisten liikeimprovisaatiotunnit 16.8. – 13.12.2026 klo 14-16. Ei tuntia 6.12.
Ensimmäinen tunti 16.8. toteutuu sään salliessa ulkotilassa (lisätietoa tulossa). Muuten syksyn tunnit tapahtuvat Kaapelitehtaalla sekä Humina-tilassa (25.10 ja 1.11.).

Kaikkien lasten tanssitunnit jatkuvat 5.9. klo 14-15 Annantalolla. Muut syksyn tunnit 19.9.,3.10.,24.10., 7.11.,28.11. ja 5.12.

Tunteja ohjaavat tanssiin, teatteriin, vammaisuuteen, pedagogiikkaan ja esteettömyyteen perehtyneet ammattilaiset, joilla kaikilla on erilainen taiteellis-pedagoginen tausta sekä historia Kaaos Companyssa työskentelystä. Tunnit ovat avoimia kaikille.
Tunneilla kannustetaan monipuoliseen yksilölliseen ilmaisuun ja tyyleihin - ei ole yhtä ainoaa tapaa!
Jotta voisi todella ymmärtää, mistä on kysymys, se on koettava itse.

Kaaos Company’s dance classes for adults and children are starting up again in Helsinki!

Autumn season movement improvisation classes for adults: August 16 – December 13, 2026, 2:00–4:00 p.m. No class on Dec. 6.
The first class on August 16 will be held outdoors, weather permitting (more information to come). Otherwise, the autumn classes will take place at Kaapelitehdas and at Humina (Oct. 25 and Nov. 1). You’re warmly welcome!

Dance classes for all children will continue on September 5 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Annantalo. Other autumn classes will be held on September 19, October 3, October 24, November 7, November 28, and December 5.

The classes are led by professionals with a background in dance, theatre, disability, pedagogy and accessibility, all with different artistic-pedagogical backgrounds and a history of working with Kaaos Company. The classes are open to all.
The classes encourage a wide range of individual expression and styles - there is no one way!
To truly understand what is involved, you have to experience it yourself. So welcome!

Tervetuloa uudet ja vanhat kevään viimeiselle liikeimprovisaatiotunnille tällä viikolla 24.5.
Ohjelmassa on normaalisti ohjattu osuus klo 14-15.50 Kaapelitehtaalle, C4 -studiolla.
Tämän jälkeen siirrymme sään salliessa ulos piknik-nyyttärihengessä.
Sateisen sään sattuessa siirrymme alakerran kahvilaan.

Welcome, new and old participants, to the last movement improvisation class of the spring this week on May 24.
The program includes the usual guided session from 2:00 to 3:50 p.m. at the Cable Factory, C4 studio.
Afterward, weather permitting, we’ll head outside for an easy-going picnic. In case of rain, we’ll head to the café downstairs.

Classes will continue again in August!

Sister, I can feel it in my in my bones at the PÅ TVÆRS festival this Saturday! 💫

The Finnish performance unfolds in a rich world of laughter, insight and the desire to find peace, as part of the spectrum of life, and as oneself. The performance is an autobiographical work, both comical and at times serious, performed by two performers. A life-affirming celebration of seizing joy and a reminder that sometimes you have to listen to the strong voice in the vulnerable before you speak up.
Far more than identity-politics about disability, the work explores the lived, embodied experience and the tension between the desire to simply live an equal life and the many ways in which society falls short again and again. In this way, the mirror is held up before us all.

The audience is invited to witness, experience and laugh with the performers, and not least to understand their own role in creating the world we share. English and Finnish (with Danish translation) will be spoken in the performance.

After an unforeseen event, one of the performers will not be able to participate in the festival. This adapted version is therefore also based on the documentation from last year’s performance, where Christelle shared the stage with Noora.
