Yesterday, at my friend’s housewarming party, I had the pleasure of meeting a new (to me), wonderful artist—someone with a long background in both making art and guiding others on their creative paths.

While chatting, I found myself admitting that I’ve been struggling with an artist’s block since last October, right after having two of my works in an exhibition in Paris. But during the evening, something started to shift—at least in thought. I realized I haven’t been entirely without art.

Next to my desk, I’ve had a roll of paper constantly out, and over time I’ve started doodling on it—nothing planned, just spontaneous marks, lines, ideas. It’s been a quiet overflow for my creativity and deep focus during this blocked season.

Maybe the block will lift, maybe it won’t. But for now, I’ll keep doodling—proudly (no longer sheepishly).
P.S. This thing is, by accident, turning into a Kalevala-inspired mandala. Who knew?

The marble woman, whose every curve and line had been carefully considered and carved in the likeness of a young woman. A woman who had heard whispers around her: “She is perfect. Her body is a gift from the gods.” She knew she was the epitome of beauty, and no one dared to question it. Her body had been immortalized in marble, and thus, she became timeless — a motionless monument to human perfection.

When the master sculptor blew the final dust from the marble’s smooth surface, the soul of the statue had already been captured within the stone. Time passed, yet the marble woman still stood, always observed, always under scrutiny. She had been created to be gazed upon, and her sole purpose was to be seen, to be admired.

In a world where social media fragments and reshapes us, we rarely show our true colors. Instead, we offer only pixelated glimpses, square-shaped truths that never quite capture our depth. Like this artwork, we exist in pieces—shaded, obscured, and curated for the feed. But true authenticity? That remains beyond the edges of the frame.

The faces are fragmented into geometric shapes and colors, reflecting how social media shatters our perception of reality. These sharp, angular forms remind us that perfection is often just an illusion—constructed through photo-editing tools, filters, and digital manipulation. These tools have reshaped our notions of beauty, creating unrealistic standards that no one can genuinely meet.

Embracing the duality within us all. This piece, which has adorned my living room wall since spring, reflects the contrasts and connections that shape our identity. An earlier sketch of this work was shared before, but now the final version is here for you to see.

Exploring the multifaceted nature of identity once again. This piece reflects the coexistence of our inner selves. Through the interplay of geometric forms and serene tones, I aim to capture the harmony within complexity. Each face is a fragment, yet together they form a unified whole.

Introducing my latest work, combining geometric abstraction and cubism, painted with acrylics on cork canvas. This piece explores the complex themes of understanding and human interaction. The choice of cork as a material adds an organic texture that grounds the abstract forms, creating a unique visual experience.

Understanding each other goes beyond words and expressions; it includes feelings, attitudes, norms, and experiences. Although we can only partially understand each other, it is within this magic of interaction that we create meaning and connection.

Ready or not, here I am. The journey of this painting started several months ago. I'm not sure if it's still continuing. Time will tell.

Poem inspired by this painting (poem created with chatgpt):

"Multicolored faces,
geometry's dance,
harmony of pastels.

Ancient pillar,
steadfast and noble,
sea of identities around.

Layered self,
society's gaze,
tension of culture and modern time.

Art speaks,
diversity whispers,
identity reflected."

Creating this piece I used leftover colors from my previous painting. The flowing lines and profiles represent human connection and identity. Each stroke is a blend of old and new, symbolizing continuity and change. Nice bonus piece I think 😉
