Something to know about Ecocide Law proposal? ECOCIDE means mass damage and destruction of ecosystems. Ecocide Law will make it a criminal offense to carry out reckless acts likely to cause serious harm to the environment. Decision makers responsible for oil spills, chemical disasters and massive plastic pollution, for example, will face legal action and may even face prison terms. Ecocide Law creates genuine motivation for positive change and innovation. It is the legal framework that investors, insurance companies and the world’s most polluting companies need – in order to accelerate their transition to green business models.

It´s not your business, is the 8th song in Let´s Change the Rules concert.
The purpose of this piece is to depict the conflicting discussion sparked by the scientific address on biodiversity loss presented in the previous song. In this piece, different voices express their objections to the scientific message and present arguments for their own perspectives.

The song may be a bit irritating—well, that is intentional :)

It was composed by Federico Trindade and Merzi Rajala, with lyrics by Merzi Rajala. The rap versions were created by Keisari Suhonen.
This version was performed in Sweden, Umeå 12.5.2026
singers: vokalensemblen ALMA

Jee, more and more countries are supporting the criminalisation of Ecocide!

Finland's Social Democratic Party (SDP) is now supporting the criminalisation of .

In a resolution adopted at its 2026 party congress, Finland’s largest party committed to supporting national, regional and international frameworks to criminalise mass environmental destruction, known as ecocide.

The party’s resolution highlights how large-scale destruction of nature can have profound consequences for human health, livelihoods, natural resources, and future food production.

Mikko Pyhälä, Ambassador Emeritus of Finland and member of Stop Ecocide International's Advisory Group, noted that upcoming Finnish parliamentary elections in 2027 could see the SDP provide the Prime Minister for the next national government.

He further added that the party’s position on the international criminalisation of ecocide has put “greater political weight behind Finland's presidency of the ICC's Assembly of States Parties, which runs until the end of 2026”.

Finland’s SDP joins a host of other political parties, legislators and governments worldwide committed to advancing ecocide laws. New domestic legislative proposals are appearing around the world, major regional progress is advancing, and a number of forward-thinking states are backing the proposal to make ecocide an international crime.
