Now it's public! Mikko Raita - Studio Kekkonen worked on Lauri P***a's new music for Finnair. Mikko recorded the Vantaan Viihdeorkesteri / Vantaa Orchestra & Dalia Stasevska sessions at Helsinki's Musiikkitalo Paavo hall, as well as editing and mixing the four orchestral-based pieces, "Before the doors open", "Featherlight", "Northbound" & title track "Matkantekijä".

He was helped by Kekkonen's asssistant & second recordist and additional editor Joonas Kaartti, Assistant recordist Juha Matti Varvikko (ex-Kekkonen as well) & Musiikkitalo's Matias Hellgrén. Mastering by Tommi Vainikainen, link to the Spotify album version in the comments.

I’ve recently been working on something very secret and special, a new musical world and identity for Finnair.

In many ways, this has been a dream job for me. I’ve spent countless hours on Finnair flights and have long dreamed of writing and curating an audio experience for a journey like this. Now it has travelled from my headphones to the speakers of the plane, and you’ll hear the music on upcoming Finnair flights.

The album consists of 13 pieces spanning a 45-minute arc. We are calling it Matkantekijä: Music for Travellers. (Yes, it’s a nod to Eno.) The album will also be released on Spotify today on Friday. I hope it brings you as much joy as I had making it.

Huge congrats Panu Aaltio for winning the HARPA Nordic Film Music Days award for his score on Dome Karukoski's "Little Siberia"!! The music mix and string soloist recordings were done by Mikko Raita - Studio Kekkonen at Kekkonen.
