People have been asking me where I get my ideas and inspirations that go into my art...

Well - where do I even start...
from everywhere and everything,
but mostly from being on the move and out in the world...
Seeing and feeling, taking in colours, shapes, textures (I love love love textures!!!)
impressions and energies,
finding beauty in unexpected places...

At times approaching life with an almost childlike naive mind, so I would be truly able to experience the awe...
Driving in foreign countries, different landscapes and spaces... seeing how the light is different and the vegetation, too.

I soak up the impressions and energies like a sponge, until my being is saturated, sometimes storing them for later, sometimes just letting them pass through me for that moment ...

A very Happy and healthy New Year 2022 to everybody !

I did not really take a break from Instagram these past 4 weeks, I was merely very busy with the other part of my business...

As a matter of fact right after my exhibition we went on a 10 day art-related work-roadtrip to Romania, returning only after Christmas and the New Year started out in a similar way - only difference was location location location, this time Lapland and Western Finland.

So I am happy to be back in my Helsinki studio now to properly start-off this year with new paintings and projects.

This is just a small glimpse, before I took down the painting station for the Finissage of my exhibition, which will be held tomorrow, 12.12. from 4-5 pm at TaitoGalleria Helsinki.

And therafter this 'painting embryo' ('taulunalku') will move to the studio in Herttoniemi ... to be continued ...
