Planmeca Onyx™ meets Woamy biofoam. ✨
We’re excited to share our latest collaboration between Planmeca, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of dental equipment and software, and Woamy, a Finnish circular biofoam company.
For the launch of the new Planmeca Onyx™ intraoral scanner, Planmeca chose Woamy’s circular biofoam to deliver on protection, cleanliness, and circularity.
“We were looking for a fiber-based packaging solution that could meet both our sustainability goals and the protection requirements of a high-quality medical device with sensitive optical technology. What impressed us was not only the recyclability of Woamy’s material, but also its cleanliness and performance,” says Oona Ahllund, Product Specialist for CAD/CAM Products at Planmeca.
Woamy’s circular biofoam successfully passed extensive transportation, drop, and piling tests, and its dust-free surface helped eliminate additional plastic bags from the packaging altogether.
