We are thrilled to announce that Dereje Dange, the artistic director of Fekat Circus, has been engaged as a specialist consultant for the upcoming Lagos Contemporary Circus festival at the National Theatre Lagos!

We are delighted to start the week with a fantastic performance and continue our meaningful work at the hospital. We are incredibly grateful for the invaluable support of our generous donor, Tavola Valdese. Thanks to their contribution, Fekat Circus is able to uphold our community circus school and the Smile medicine project at Black Lion Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Since January 2025, we have been privileged to offer free circus classes and recreational activities to a diverse group of children, nurturing their physical and emotional well-being.

The impact of Tavola Valdese's generosity is truly immeasurable, and we cannot express enough gratitude for their belief in our mission and their assistance in positively impacting the lives of those in our care. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the two wonderful clown and acrobats from France who are generously volunteering at Fekat. Their valuable experience and contributions to our circus activities and shows have been enriching for our community. We must also acknowledge the dedication and talent of all our circus performers who continually inspire us.

As a token of our appreciation, we would like to share some pictures of our shows and cultural exchanges. Thank you once again for your continued support and belief in our work. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us!

We had an incredible time participating in the circus delegation in Switzerland with professionals from all around the world! The discussions about circus and performing arts were so enlightening and it was amazing to connect with artists, directors, and producers from different countries. Thank you to Pro Helvetia and the entire team for organizing this fantastic opportunity for us to come together, connect, and learn from one another. 🎪🤹‍♂️🤩
