How to bridge youths with parents in farming trend economically wise ways
ወጣቶችን ከወላጆች ጋር በግብርና ሂደት በኢኮኖሚያዊ ጥበብ እንዴት ማገናኘት ይቻላል?
በማህበረሰቡ ዘንድ የተለመደ ለእናት ለአባት ለምታዘዙ ልጆች ጠዮ ( አንድ ወይም ሁለት መሬት ተሰጥቷቸው አርሰው እንድጠቀሙ በማድረግ ወጣቱ እራሱን እንድችልና በወጣትነት ጊዜ የሚያሳፈልጉ ነገሮች በማሟላት እራሱን ችሎ በራስ መተማመንን በማሰደግ ከቤተሰብ ጥገኘነት ወጥተው ለቤተሰብ መከታ እንድሆን ይደረግ ነበር) ፡፡ ይህ ሁኔታ በአሁኔ ጊዜ በጣም ላልቶ ወጣቱም የስራ ፍላጎት አጥቶ የቤተሰብ ጥገኛ በመሆን ላይ ይገኛል፡፡ ስለሆነም የነበረውን የማህበረስብ አስተሳሰብ በማደበር ኮሳ!ና ጠዮ (ከመሬት ባለበት ጋራ ምርትን የመጋራት) ልምድ በማሳደግ በየአካባቢው ከረምትና በጋ የሚፈሰውን ውሃ አጠቃቀም እዉቀትን በመጨመር ከትምህርት ጎንለጎን ከእናቶቻቸው ጋር በማጣመር ከግብርና በቂ ገቢ ወጣቱ ማግኘት እንደምቻል ከጀመርነው
“በእንሰት ላይ የተመሰረተ ሆርቲካልቸር በመጠቀም ሴቶችንና እናቶችን በማበረታት ምርታማነትን ማሳድግና ኑሮን ማሻሻል በጋሞ ሀይላንድ (WET ፕሮጀክት)” ተሞክሮ ማወቅ ችለናል፡፡
It was customary in the community for children who obeyed their parents to be given a plot of land (one or two plots of land were given to them to cultivate and use, so that the young man could become self-sufficient and self-reliant by meeting the needs of his youth, thus developing self-confidence and becoming a support for the family.) This situation is currently very bad, and the youth are losing interest in work and are becoming dependent on their families. Therefore, by developing the existing social mentality, increasing the practice of Kosa! and Tiyo (sharing the produce from the land), increasing the knowledge of the use of water flowing in the winter and summer in each area, and Paired with their mothers, we believe that the youth can earn a decent income from agriculture along with education. We have learned from the experience of the “Empowering Women and Mothers through Water-Based Horticulture to Increase Productivity and Improve Livelihoods in Gamo Highlands (WET Project)”
