First price of selective competition procedure and mandate for the construction of a residential building in the emblematic neighbourhood of Ruzafa, Valencia.

Because the plot is located in the heart of the old district, the construction must be quick, simple and precise. For these reasons the option of prefabricated engineered cross laminated timber panel (CLT) has been retained, making the project the tallest wooden frame building in Valencia's community.

More than giving the project its uniqueness expression, the timber panel structure also reduces considerably the construction's environmental impact transforming sustainability concerns and preoccupations into tangible actions.

The new Elerly home building takes center stage as it artfully reinforces the three different public esplanades around it, shaping the very heart of the emerging neighborhood.

On the ground floor, boundaries between interior and exterior become more porous. A large open space gathers administrative functions and communal areas, embracing a generous central patio that extends its embrace across the upper levels. Here, natural ventilation intertwines with contemplative spaces, weaving a tapestry of refreshing breezes and serene reflection.

Elevate to the upper floors—a sanctuary of intimacy and tranquility. Rooms, thoughtfully placed along the facade, stand as sentinels, preserving the sanctity of the private sphere. Every detail has been meticulously crafted, from thresholds to transitions. Corridors metamorphose into vibrant streets, beckoning residents to infuse their essence into these communal arteries, transforming them into avenues of personal expression and solace.
