Tracing the unseen threads. 〰️
There is a hidden dialogue in my practice lately. While my illustrations are often lush and maximalist 🎨, I am pretty minimalist in my daily life. My studio is an extension of this: a landscape of soft muted beige, natural wooden textures🪵, and quiet greens. This stillness is a kind of protection from feeling overwhelmed.
Perhaps this is also an echo of my work in product photography 📷, where clarity is everything. In that world, any unnecessary reflection must be stripped away, until only the essential remains.
Lately, I’ve found myself craving that same clarity in my artistic routine. 🌿 I am moving toward the restorative power of abstract shapes. 🔸🟡🔹There is a sort of quiet, healing process in muting the literal to focus purely on the essence of a feeling.
