“THE WORDS AREN’T IMPORTANT.”

Controversial? Maybe.
Before you come for us… keep reading. 😂

We’re not saying the script doesn’t matter. Of course it does.

But as an actor, knowing the words is only the beginning.

Take one sentence:

“I didn’t say she stole my money.”

Say it seven times.

Same words.
Same sentence.
Different emphasis. Different intention. Different meaning.

What happens when you stress I?
What changes when you stress DIDN’T?
What are you trying to make your scene partner understand when you stress SHE?

That’s where the acting happens.

The emphasis isn’t just about saying one word louder. It comes from the thought and intention behind the line: what you want your scene partner to hear, understand, believe or feel.

Because without intention, words can be empty.

Try it yourself. Pick a sentence and find the different intentions hiding inside the same words.

What can you make the audience understand without changing the script? 👀

A very special Creation Success Story…

We couldn’t be prouder to share that our wonderful student Emily has been accepted into the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London! ✨

Emily has been part of the Creation family for many, many years, and we’ve had the privilege of watching her grow, develop her craft and become the incredible young performer she is today.

She has always thrown herself into every role, rehearsal and challenge and has an incredible ability to captivate an audience whenever she performs.

But for us, it’s not just her talent that makes Emily so special. It’s the fun, kindness, energy and enthusiasm she brings into every class and rehearsal. She has been such a wonderful presence at Creation, and we are going to miss her enormously.

We are so excited to see her take this next step and begin her journey at Central. We know she’ll give it everything, just as she always has.

Please join us in giving Emily a huge congratulations!

We’re so proud of you, Emily and we can’t wait to see what you achieve next. ❤️

We’re looking for someone who loves working with children and young people, has a genuine passion for acting and performance, and wants to develop their skills within a creative, supportive and growing company.

About the Role:

You’ll initially join us as a Workshop Assistant, supporting our existing workshop leaders in after-school and Saturday morning acting classes.

As you gain experience, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress towards becoming a Workshop Leader, leading your own classes and developing your own teaching style.

Our classes are focused on acting, theatre and screen performance, and we work with young people aged 6–18 years old.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

- Is fluent in English – all of our classes are taught in English
- Has experience in acting, theatre or performance, whether professionally, through training or education
- Enjoys working with children and young people
- Is enthusiastic, energetic and creative
- Is confident, reliable and professional
- Wants to develop their skills as both a performer and a teacher
- Is comfortable working as part of a team
- Has a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Has a genuine passion for helping young people develop their confidence and acting skills

Previous teaching experience is a bonus, but not essential.
We’re particularly interested in people who have a strong background in acting and want to develop their experience working with young performers.

More Than Just Teaching

At Creation Drama Studio, we’re not only a drama school. We also have our own theatre and production company, creating plays and films throughout the year.

We love giving our team opportunities to get involved in our productions, and staff may have the opportunity to be cast in our plays and films, giving you the chance to continue developing your own acting career alongside your work with us.

Hours & Pay

Starting rate: €12.50 per hour
After-school and Saturday morning classes
Primarily based at our Sitges studio, with potential opportunities in Castelldefels and Barcelona
Opportunities for additional hours and increased responsibility as you progress within the company

Interested?

If you’re passionate about acting, love working with young people and are looking for an opportunity to perform, teach and grow within a creative company, we’d love to hear from you.

We’ll be holding interviews throughout August for positions starting in September.

Please get in touch with your CV and a little information about yourself, your acting/performance experience and why you’d like to join the Creation Drama Studio team.
