For 7 years, our studio has been more than just a physical space.

It has been a home for creativity, experimentation, connection, and community. A place where art was created freely, where people gathered for workshops, concerts, exhibitions, conversations, music, and shared experiences. A place where supportive friendships and collaborations were born.

Over the years, we truly believe this space became something meaningful not only for us, but for many people in our town, a place to come for inspiration, expression, support, and belonging.

Now, after 7 years, we have to let go of this studio space this June. The owners have decided to put the local on sale.

We feel that this is the beginning of a new chapter for Space for Art, and we want to continue building and growing this project within our community.

If you value what we do and would like to support us, we ask for your help.

If you hear about any available spaces in or around Sant Pere de Ribes, if you have connections that could help us, including with the ayuntamiento, or if you can simply help spread the word about our story, please reach out.

Together, we can help the next chapter of Space for Art happen.

Tonight at 18:00, join us for ClitTalk by Beatriz Chamussy.

And tomorrow, on our final day, we invite you to a very special guided tour guided by Clare Hagan, a shared journey through the exhibition exploring wildness as something instinctive, embodied, and deeply human, followed by our exhibition closing party with live music by Raed.

MORNING COFFEE TALK with Genia Valla & Sophie Lascelles

LET YOUR CREATIVITY BE WILD
Reclaim the artist within

Wild creativity isn’t about perfection or output. It’s about reclaiming what’s already yours. Creativity isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity, a vital thread in the fabric of a fulfilling life. Yet many of us unlearn it, suppress it, or silence it under the weight of “shoulds” and comparisons. We tell ourselves stories about what creativity should look like, forgetting the joy of the act itself, the messy, playful, unapologetic exploration that once came naturally.

In this participatory Morning Coffee Talk, Genia and Sophie invite you to reconnect with your creative instinct. Through simple exercises and reflection, you will explore what holds your creativity back and what wants to emerge.

Newsflash, there are no rules.

Genia Valla and Sophie Lascelles are artists, creativity mentors, and founding members of Space for Art. For the past seven years, they have been creating supportive spaces where women can unblock their creativity, trust their process, and reclaim the artist within.

One of the core beliefs of Space for Art is that art has the power to heal, connect, and bring people back to each other.

Yesterday was a living example of that.

Yanina, , led a community workshop where people from our town and the surrounding area gathered to create a collective artwork exploring identity and belonging. The workshop was inspired by Yanina’s exhibition piece The Inner Ground.

Through photographs, conversation, cyanotype, and shared making, we created something unique and deeply meaningful together, a portrait of our community.

At a time when so much pulls people apart, gatherings like this remind us that art can be not only something we look at, but also something we experience together. A way to connect, to share stories, and to remember that we belong to something larger than ourselves.

The collective piece will be exhibited during our Exhibition Closing Party this Saturday, May 16.

The exhibition is open, and tomorrow we continue with our first guided tour of WILD.

Join us for an evening of conversation, reflection, and deeper insight into the exhibition projects with former art school director and coach Arnout Krediet.

Together we will explore the wild, intuitive, and untamed layers within the works, the stories, emotions, and questions they hold.

Hi, I’m Elisa.

Recently, I began studying an old door.
Looking closely at its surface, I noticed every mark, every crack, every trace of time. Seeing how it has endured sparked something in me.

I felt drawn to explore it, to understand it.

As I delved deeper, I began to see parallels with my own life.
Each mark and groan reveals stories of endurance and transition. Much like this door, I see the beauty in past challenges, as reminders that every ending opens into something new.

This work became a reflection on time, memory, and transformation.

My project for this year’s group exhibition begins here.

Exhibition opens May 6 at our studio.
