“La Mar” es una escultura que no solo habla del mar y homenajea nuestro pasado marinero. Es un obra que habla de la mujer que lucha y siempre ha luchado. Con una mirada al horizonte, a ese futuro que aún queda por descubrir y navegar, a través de tempestad y calma. Una mirada decidida, clara y honesta. La rigidez del pilar y su postura le otorgan esa templanza necesaria para afrontar cualquier viento de poniente.
Está dedicada a todas las mujeres, pero quiero permitirme mencionar a las mujeres de mi vida. Mi madre, la que me la dio y se desvive por mí, y a Andrea, mi musa y el amor de mi vida.

“La Mar” is a sculpture that speaks not only of the ocean itself, a tribute to our seafaring past, but also tells the story of a woman who fights, who has always fought. With her gaze fixed on the horizon, she looks toward that future yet to be discovered, to be sailed, through storm and stillness alike. Her eyes are steadfast, clear, and true. The solid pillar and her stance lend her the calm resolve needed to face any westerly wind.
This piece is dedicated to all women, yet I must take a moment to honor the women of my life. My mother, who gave me life and pours her soul into caring for me, and Andrea, my muse and the love of my life.
