ESTA English Speaking Theatrical Association We are an English speaking theatre group in Tenerife founded in 1983. All money raised goes to Chari Profits are donated to charity. You will be most welcome.

THE ENGLISH SPEAKING THEATRICAL ASSOCIATION

The English Speaking Theatrical Association. (“E.S.T.A.”) was formed and approved by the Civil Governor in 1983 to promote the art of theatre in all its various forms of the English language. It was intended to entertain the British community and other English speaking nationalities who were living in or visiting Tenerife. In the early years, the associ

ation performed in Las Cuevas Church, and then in the Valle Luz Hotel in Puerto de la Cruz. In April 1987, the productions moved to the Auditorium at El Sauzal, thanks to the generosity of the Alcalde, Don Paulino Rivero Baute. The first production there was a variety show entitled “ESTA in Town Tonight”, which was followed by a play “Fish out of Water”. Thereafter the association presented either two plays, or a play and a musical show every year, including a series of very successful pantomimes
