With the milestone exhibition „POSITIONS 50 – THE INNER CIRCLE,“ Galeria HMH invites you to an intimate encounter with the latest works by Katja Nordmeyer. The show’s title beautifully connects to her artistic vision: „The Inner Circle“ represents the core of human emotion while visually echoing the characteristic oval and circular framing of her portraits.
Through her striking cracking and palette knife technique on metallic surfaces, Nordmeyer exposes the vulnerable, deeper layers of her subjects. She demonstrates that true beauty and genuine connection are often found within the „Inner Circle“—far beyond the flawless surface. Experience a fascinating interplay of texture, color, and human closeness.
(Katja Nordmeyer’s Artistic Style: Hamburg-based artist has developed a distinctive style that blends Pop Art elements with unique three-dimensional structures. Her trademark technique involves applying a special filler onto perforated aluminum sheets or canvas. As the material dries, fine cracks of varying sizes naturally appear. This relief-like texture evokes historical fresco techniques. It intentionally breaks up the vibrant, high-contrast portraits to explore themes of transience, beauty, and deep human emotion.)
