From Inside es un proyecto independiente que lleva a cabo talleres de fotografía participativa con personas refugiados.

Gracias a donaciones de cámaras, el proyecto pretende visibilizar la situación de las refugiadas a través de sus propias fotos.

Hoy finalizamos con la presentación de las series mostrando quienes son los autores de las fotografías de las últimas dos semanas.

Tres retratos hechos por ellos mismo, Sebastián, Joan Toni y Hassan. Esperamos que lo hayáis disfrutado y que hayamos aprendido juntos que todos los prejuicios asociados a la población penitenciaria no tienen porque ser verdad. Miremos a las personas como lo que son, no como lo que un día fueron debido a ciertas circunstancias.

Today, we conclude the presentation of the series by introducing the authors of the photographs from the last two weeks.

Three portraits taken by Sebastián, Joan Toni, and Hassan themselves. We hope you’ve enjoyed it and that we’ve all learned together that the prejudices associated with the prison population don’t have to be true. Let’s look at people for who they are, not for what they once were due to certain ccircumstances.

Bienvenidos a la presentación de las series fotográficas del último taller de fotografía participativa de From Inside. Esta vez hemos trabajado junto a un grupo de población penitenciaria en el barrio de La Soledad, en Palma de Mallorca. A partir de hoy iremos subiendo algunas de las fotografías realizadas por los alumnos.

Hoy le toca a Sebastián, un hombre cuyo tema elegido ha sido la soledad. Sebastián ha querido mostrar cómo el sistema penitenciario le aleja a uno de sus amistades y de su familia, pero también sobre cómo ha aprendido a convivir con la soledad. Además, es muy crítico con las redes sociales a las que tacha de herramientas para aislarnos todavía más del resto.

Welcome to the presentation of the photographic series from the latest participatory photography workshop by From Inside. This time, we worked with a group of prisoners in the La Soledad neighborhood, in Palma de Mallorca. Starting today, we will be posting some of the photographs taken by the participants.

Today, it's Sebastián's turn, a man whose chosen theme is loneliness. Sebastián wanted to show how the prison system separates him from his friends and family, but also how he has learned to live with loneliness. Additionally, he is very critical of social media, which he describes as tools that further isolate us from others.

Esta vez hemos trabajado junto a un grupo de población penitenciaria en el barrio de La Soledad, en Palma de Mallorca. A partir de hoy iremos subiendo algunas de las fotografías realizadas por los alumnos.

Hoy le toca a Hassan, un hombre de origen marroquí cuyo tema elegido ha sido la libertad. Hassan ha querido contarnos las cosas que le hacen sentir libre después de salir de prisión, pero también las cosas que le hacen recordar que, durante mucho tiempo, no lo ha sido. La pulsera que lo mantiene conectado al sistema penitenciario y las verjas son su propia selección del día.

Today, it's Hassan’s turn, a man of Moroccan origin whose chosen theme is freedom. Hassan wanted to share with us the things that make him feel free after leaving prison, but also the things that remind him that, for a long time, he wasn’t. The ankle bracelet that keeps him connected to the prison system and the bars are his own selection for the day.

Hoy seguimos con Joan Toni, un hombre que ha querido documentar su anhelo por lo rural y su deseo por regresar a su aldea. El tránsito, el camino entre el pueblo y la ciudad, ha sido lo que le ha llevado a fotografiar su vida diaria durante dos semanas.
