El viernes 21 de junio, ART & DESIGN DISTRICT abrió sus puertas con 'Isolation Tank' (2010-2011), una instalación de Gary Hill generada íntegramente por ordenador, donde el sonido fue generado con un sintetizador de audio analógico.

Ese mismo día, el artista conceptual multidisciplinar interpretó en directo 'Mediations', una nueva versión de una obra temprana de 1986 en la que podíamos experimentar la relación de la vibración del habla con la interacción entre la arena y un cono de altavoz.

On June 21st, ART & DESIGN DISTRICT opened the doors with 'Isolation Tank' (2010-2011), an installation by Gary Hill generated entirely by computer, although the sound has been generated with an analogue audio synthesizer.

That same day, the cross-disciplinary conceptual artist performed 'Mediations' live, a remake of an early work from 1986 in which we could experience the reflexivity of speech in relation to the interaction between sand and a speaker cone.

The contemporary artist from Sóller, Francesca Martí opened our studio nº 31 to showcase her latest creation at

“Quondam” is an abstraction of moments of how different people come together to create a neighborhood. The piece is built around a selection of instants, a sequence of fragments in the history of the community and the artist's personal experiences, encapsulating the essence of the area. It looks at how each moment in the past builds our present and contributes to the construction of our global existence.
