🇺🇸 I might be in America right now, but with so many new followers, I thought I’d introduce myself.

🎤 I’m Georgie - a singer-songwriter, vocal coach, and the director and founder of Costa Pop Choir!

I’ve performed on big stages and small ones, in front of 3 people and in front of thousands. And the feeling is always the same: pure joy ✨

It hasn’t been a straight path to get here - but where I’ve landed is even better than where I thought I was headed 💛

By day I work 9-5 in sales 💼, by evening I teach people how to find their voices 🎶. That’s become one of the truest passions of my life.

We never stop learning, and we never stop growing 🌱and I know I still have a lot to learn. So let’s all do this together.

The countdown has begun ⏳ Two more Tuesdays before our new term kicks off.

Have you ever been told you can’t sing? Or looked at something like this and thought I’m not good enough for that?

We’ve all been there. I know I have.

But here’s the secret: you can, and you are good enough. Being in a choir doesn’t mean one single voice out there on its own - It means you’re in a team. A team of people who feel exactly the way you do right now.

So what’s not to try?

Wow. 😭✨

What a term.

Hitting send on my submission marks a whole academic year of learning - a huge achievement for me, both professionally and personally.

At school I was told: “Georgette has more chance of seeing the Pope than getting a Maths GCSE.”

I have carried that since. Embarking on this Level 5 qualification I didn’t know what to expect. I was nervous.

But what I’ve gained is palpable 🎶

I could always teach singing. I always loved the voice. But now I have so much more knowledge - knowledge that doesn’t just help me grow as a teacher, but helps my students and choir members who trust me with their precious voices. 💗

So... school’s out for summer! 🎓☀️

The choir’s on summer break… but your voice doesn’t have to be. 🎤

This is exactly how I warm up 65 voices every single Tuesday night. Steal it. Use it. Keep singing all summer.

Lip trills. Hums. And the tongue twister that gets everyone giggling - red lorry, yellow lorry. 😅

We’re back in September and I cannot wait. Until then - keep that voice warm. 💖

I used to think the ultimate rush was performing on stage.

Then life changed.

I moved to Spain. My band broke up. COVID killed the choir business.

I almost lost my sparkle. ✨

Then last April - I woke up. Kicked the dust off. Reformed the choir. Started teaching again.

And something amazing happened.

65 people showed up in less than 12 months. And I am more sparkly than ever. 💖

Yes, I was singing with Chaka Khan’s band on an LA stage in 2014.

But today I’m running a multicultural choir in southern Spain - helping people who felt lost feel found again. ❤️✨
