And This Is How I Paint My Dreams
Every exhibition begins long before opening night.
It starts with empty walls, artworks waiting to find their place, conversations, adjustments, and the challenge of imagining how everything will come together.
Over the past days, we have been installing And This Is How I Paint My Dreams, bringing together the work of Quique Sarzamora, Claudia Torán and Jon Amorrortu.
Then came the opening: the conversations, the encounters, and the pleasure of seeing the exhibition come alive through its visitors.
Thank you to everyone who joined us.
The exhibition remains on view until August 6 at Galería Isolina Arbulu.

Miguel Ángel Cazo invites us to see ourselves through an unexpected mirror. Through vibrant colors and scenes filled with subtle irony, his paintings reveal the contradictions, habits and absurdities of human behavior from a new perspective.

We are delighted to introduce Jon Amorrortu for the first time at Galería Isolina Arbulu as part of our upcoming exhibition And This Is How I Paint My Dreams.
Jon’s paintings emerge through layers, fragments, and transformations that blur the boundaries between abstraction and representation. His images remain open, constantly shifting and reconfiguring, inviting the viewer into a space where perception is never fixed.
In his recent work, nature becomes an intimate territory for reflection and emotion. Through form, color, and matter, Jon constructs atmospheric landscapes that suggest more than they reveal, allowing what lies beneath the surface to slowly emerge.

We are delighted to welcome back Claudia Torán to Galería Isolina Arbulu for a second exhibition, as part of And This Is How I Paint My Dreams.
Claudia’s practice is driven by a constant process of experimentation and transformation, moving fluidly between painting, music, and, more recently, ceramics. Her work unfolds in a space where the figurative and the abstract, the familiar and the unexpected, coexist in dynamic balance.
Bold colour, rhythm, and intuition guide her compositions, creating immersive atmospheres charged with energy and emotion. Vibrant and expressive, her paintings invite us into dreamlike worlds where imagination takes precedence over certainty and where meaning emerges through sensation rather than explanation.

For the third time, Quique Sarzamora returns to Galería Isolina Arbulu with a new body of work presented in And This Is How I Paint My Dreams.
Painting, for Quique, begins long before the brush touches the canvas. His practice is an exploration of what lies beneath the surface—of colour, matter, and the invisible structures that shape our experience of the world. Through subtle layers and carefully constructed fields of colour, his works reveal themselves slowly, rewarding close attention.
At a time when images are consumed instantly and endlessly, Quique invites us to pause. His paintings resist reproduction and demand physical presence, reminding us of the value of direct experience and human connection. It is only through proximity that their emotional complexity emerges: traces of affection, vulnerability, crisis, and healing woven into the surface of the work.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the opening of The Day the Animals Behaved Like Humans by Miguel Ángel Cazo.
In this series, animals take on human gestures and behaviours, creating a subtle distance from which the everyday becomes strange, inviting us to reflect on our own actions.
The exhibition will be on view in the Black Room until July.
