⭐️ Its safe to say that the vast majority of the music we play and facilitate stems from black culture. So in support of black artists within the context of the Black Lives Matter movement, and thanks to Bandcamp's fee waiving on Friday July 3rd, we are making digital copies available of our previously vinyl-only release Gapside / Encuentros EP.
⭐️ 100% OF PROCEEDS GENERATED BY RELEASE SALES will be donated The Black Artist Fund, an initiative giving money directly to Black artists to combat systemic inequity in art. The funds will be disbursed to individual Black artists and Black art collectives/organizations in the United States.
⭐️ Starting this morning at 6am CET (midnight EST) on Friday July 3rd, grab a digital copy of the whole EP or individual tracks at https://moodyrecords1.bandcamp.com/releases
⭐️ Some words about the music:
Side A is a 15 minute collage of jazz samples, a whopping contrabass, modular rhythms and a tale about Jazz, Adam and Eve - by none other than Gapside - a moniker for the collective born in Brooklyn of O.BEE, Tomás Station, and Rona Budak.
Side B is created by our favorite Colombian duo, David Triana aka Dorado and Tomás Station, showcasing their personal blend of polyrhythmic salsa and darker acid-infused sounds.
⭐️We hope you enjoy the music and perhaps feel motivated to contribute towards spreading positive cultural change!
