ABOUT r/e projects
r/e projects is a platform for programs, publications and exhibitions developed in conjunction with the r/e collection and in collaboration with artists, galleries, curators and cultural institutions. The projects reflect our belief that personal efforts towards collecting art are most rewarding when they lead to building a community around it, wherein the role of the collector
as patron is an integral part of the artistic process, both in its creation and its dissemination. RESIDENCY PROGRAM
espacio artkunstarte, in addition to being the headquarters for r/e projects, serves as a by-invitation artist residence that provides comfortable shelter and a place for experimentation where exhibitions are only one of the many ways to break new creative ground. It is located in the heart of Madrid, a city exploding with history and culture, affording the artists the opportunity to break from their routines, be inspired by their surroundings, and have the space to express or build with complete creative freedom. EXHIBITIONS
Whether presented in small curatorial shows or as part of larger institutional ones, organizing and supporting exhibitions with works from the collection gives us a chance to share personal perspectives and to collaborate with other members of the art community as they initiate compelling dialogues. Exhibitions at espacio artkunstarte are also staged as a result of the residency programs and are usually scheduled in conjunction with important art events in the city to maximize their exposure. PUBLICATIONS
Art publications are a means to document artistic output and to infuse it with critical analyses, thus in themselves opportunities for creative collaborations. Book projects range from limited editions published as a creative result of the residency programs to exhibition monographs produced in partnership with cultural institutions.
