El refugio rosa nació como idea de darles una nueva oportunidad a todas esas Barbies olvidadas, rotas y desterradas. Restaurándolas y devolviéndolas un nuevo y renovado esplendor mas cercano al mundo de la moda que a su tradicional mundo rosa. La oportunidad de crear la primera muñeca honorífica de la Convención Nacional de Coleccionista en España 2013, la “Reina Náyade”, transformó este proyecto
en el verdadero sueño de su creador, David Bocci, ser diseñador de moda para Barbie. El Refugio Rosa se transformó en una marca, creando estacionalmente colecciones de muñecas Ooak (One Of A Kind), con diseños, maquillajes, peinados y complementos totalmente originales. Aunandolas con muñecas Ooks mas exclusivas para acontecimientos importantes o inspirados en personajes o temáticas mas especiales. David Bocci es el encargado crear cada muñeca desde principio a fin, Siendo un diseñador multidisciplinar que le gusta controlar cada detalle y aportar a cada muñeca un trocito de su alma. The Refugio Rosa (Pink Refuge) was created with the aim of providing all those forgotten, broken and exiled Barbie dolls with a new opportunity by restoring and giving them a new and renovated glory closer to the fashion world than to their traditional pink circle. The opportunity of creating the first honorary doll for the 2013 Barbie Collectors Convention in Spain, the “Reina Náyade” (Naiad Queen), turned this project into a dream came true for his creator, David Bocci: being a fashion designer for Barbie dolls. The Refugio Rosa became a trade mark not only by creating seasonally the Ooak (One Of A Kind) dolls collections, with original designs, hairstyles and makeups, but also by combining them with exclusive Ooak dolls specifically created for important events or inspired in special characters and topics. David Bocci is the responsible of each doll from the beginning to the end of the creating process. He is a multidisciplinary designer who loves controlling each detail and putting his life and soul into one and every doll.
