🔴PROGRAMACIÓN EXPOMETRO MADRID 2026🔴
20 de Junio en la pantalla gigante de Callao.

Como algunos ya sabéis,
participo en esta exposición colectiva a nivel mundial.

La obra con la que participo la veréis al final del carrusel.

Descripción de mi obra:

🪸Serie «Arrecifes de Coral >> Micromundos» «Arrecife de Plástico 01»🪸
Tamaño: 65 x 50 cm.

Del Plástico al Arte >>
Menos plástico para el Océano.

Fui instructora de buceo y testigo de la belleza y la vida marina que albergan los arrecifes de coral saludables.
También vi cómo los residuos y el plástico los contaminaban.
Y me di cuenta de su importancia para un Océano sano.
Como dijo Sylvia Earle:
«Sin azul, no hay verde».

Esta serie de Arrecifes de Coral de Plástico está tejida a crochet con bolsas de plástico, más de 37 en esta pieza, que preparé con antelación.

Simboliza el daño causado por toda esa basura en el Océano, con la intención de crear conciencia sobre la importancia de reducir el consumo de plástico para cuidar nuestro planeta.

Quiero enfatizar la importancia de los arrecifes de coral, el peligro del daño que sufre su ecosistema, que alberga tanta vida.
Muchas áreas se están blanqueando y muriendo debido a la actividad humana...

Con la venta de esta obra (y otras), donaré un porcentaje a varias asociaciones que repueblan áreas dañadas y luchan por la protección de los arrecifes de coral en todo el mundo.

I wanted to show you more about this project, counting how many plastic bags I used for my first plastic coral reef.

The plastic bags can be more bigger or smaller than others, not always the same size, so I try to create my corals searching for the appropriate size and colour ✨️

I'm adding more new corals for this reef, I felt it needed this,
so stay tuned for PART 3!

FROM PLASTIC TO ART>>
Less plastic for the Ocean.

I was a Scuba Diving Instructor in my past life, and I witnessed firsthand the beauty and marine life that healthy coral reefs harbor.
I also saw how waste and plastic were polluting them.
And I became aware of their importance for a healthy Ocean.

As Sylvia Earle said,
"NO BLUE, NO GREEN".

This series of PLASTIC CORAL REEFS are crocheted with plastic bags, more than 37 in this one, which I prepared beforehand for crocheting.
It symbolizes the damage caused by all that trash in the Ocean,
with the intention of raising awareness about the importance of reducing plastic consumption to take care of our Planet.
I want to emphasize the importance of coral reefs, the danger of the damage suffered by their ecosystem, which harbors so much life.

Many areas are bleaching and dying due to human activity...

With the sale of this piece
(and others), I'll donate a percentage to several associations that repopulate deforested areas and fight for the protection of coral reefs around the world.

Plastic bags into Art.

I've been immersed in this Coral Reef for the last days.

I'm doing composition tests and adding more corals, and recreating and modifying others.

When you're diving,
you can't connect to Instagram 😅,
but you can take photos.

Hace un par de semanas me entrevistaron para este periódico.

Aquí tenéis la entrevista, un recorrido por mis sombras y luces, el camino que a veces se hace cuesta arriba, aunque si miras el siguiente hito de piedras y no a la cima directamente, consigues superar etapas y seguir hasta la cumbre.
