Customize your fleet and dominate the ocean! You are in the Island. Age of pirates, magic and sea adventures. You left your comfortable parents house looking for adventures, treasure and freedom. But now your ship is broken, you are rounded with aborigines that did not decide yet if to eat you or you are a God. And is time to do something with it! Initially is a single-player game with a lot of qu

ests and a main history with an open-world sense..open-island-world. You will explore the island and the sea around. Multi-player. After the main story is finished you realize that is an archipelago with a lot of other Islands with another players so..it's up to you to decide what to do with it. Create a relations, start the invasions, plunder or trade. To defend your Island you can build a fortification. While completing the story new construct elements will be unlocked so the Fort can be wooden or stone. The construction engine allows to make a Fort using all your fantasy. So it starts from a weak Fort that any brig can destroy with a one salvo and no ends because you can continuously improve it. Also you will build a lot of a useful things like bridges, cutter machines, water-cannon machines, flamethrower machines, fly machines, catapults, etc. Yess, there is a flamethrower so you can burn literally everything so be careful with your Island. You have a lot of options to move from Island to Island. First after a while you will build a shipyard. And it depends only on you how your ship will look like. Starting with a common ships like a Brig, Caravel, Galleon or even Junk and.. no ends because is a question of your fantasy. Another option is to create a fly machine. Is another type of moving, attack and interact. In this archipelago still alive an ancient magic power. So don't be surprised if the army of skeletons will appear from the sand and will try to destroy and flame everything around. Also this source of magic will give you some power too. Flying like a seagull to explore things is not bad right?

Ahoy!

Don't pay attention to the interface — it's just an early mock-up so I can work on the core logic.

I've long wanted to make it so that in the game, you could build not just your own ship with some customizable parts, but actually shape the hull itself — and have that affect gameplay.

From physics, I remember that a drop has one of the best shapes in terms of aerodynamics. But not just a drop (a small water sphere), rather a falling drop — that's a very different shape. Also, I loved reading books about explorers as a kid, and one idea really stuck with me: the design used in Fram, the ship of Nansen. It was more round — almost oval — so when ice pressed against it, it wouldn't crush the ship, but instead push it upward.

So I've been thinking a lot about how I could make a system where a single 3D model could have a customizable shape. In the end, I came up with a formula that simulates the curve of the hull from bow to stern. For now, I’ve exposed just two parameters in the interface: the main width of the ship, and the width of the stern.

At this stage, the shape of the ship directly affects its speed, maneuverability, and capacity. A narrow ship is great for regattas — when you can strip it down, no cannons, no deck, just the bare frame, ribs, and sails (but you'll need to be careful when turning — it might capsize). A wider design is better for battles, where having more cannons gives an edge. But that’s just one example — it’s not always that linear.

The work of last 2 months. The progress of moving to Unity URP.
Environment: terrain, ocean, rocks, stones, grass, bushes, trees, birds, butterflies. You'll be able to cut trees, cut bushes, grass, move stones with your character, also you can plant trees—not just on the terrain, but also by expanding the island with wooden constructions, covering them with ground, and creating new spaces for planting.
Now working on the character update. It’s no longer human - stay tuned for more updates!
