Madrid definitely looks a lot different since the pandemic, but what hasn’t changed is its pursuit of vibrant nightlife despite our current 11pm curfew! This weekend is no different:
• For a chance to listen to live music…
Visit a bouncing Open Mic night, nestled in the stylish neighbourhood of Malasaña at Bar Veinti 7. A cosy and low lit interior with worn leather sofas and a small stage, make this bar feel timeless and snug. From acoustic guitar to a magic performance, this open mic is truly surprising, we particularly enjoyed some spoken word! The event is on every Friday from 6pm and be sure to cop your tickets in advance; your 7€ entrance fee also covers you for one drink at the bar. Overall, a totally welcoming and vibey night out in Madrid, we would definitely recommend this hangout.
• For a chance to see the sunset…
The Parque de Siete Tetas (Officially Parque del Cerro del Tio Pio) is a beautiful viewpoint, located in Portazgo (easily accessible on line 1) and offers spectacular sights of the city. If you (like us) are
constantly chasing the sun, then this spot is for you! Most popular at sunset where you can take a seat on one of the seven hills and sit back to watch the sun’s descent. The park is big enough that
it doesn’t feel overcrowded, yet there is always a bustling atmosphere. Bring a picnic mat and some drinks and settle in early for an easy and captivating evening of watching the sky’s magic.
• For a chance to get creative…
If you are feeling your creativity flowing from one of our previous workshops and you want to continue, why not try a ceramics class? LabBrut (LabBrut) in Oporto offers a great class for beginners or
experienced potters! Meet lovely likeminded people and also create something cute! All materials are provided and for 20€ you can take home something handcrafted and original. From mugs to
sculptures, you can truly flex your creative muscle and make something unique.
