We are thrilled to introduce a new edition to the ROSTOK Floor Lamp, a remarkable fusion of organic-inspired design and functionality.

Crafted with recycled waste paper and a fibreglass frame, the ROSTOK Floor Lamp proudly upholds its commitment to sustainable materials. Each piece of recycled paper used in its construction is given a new lease of life, transforming into a unique and elegant structure.

This extraordinary piece takes its place within the PITOMNIK series, a furniture collection inspired by asymmetry and captivating irregularities, encapsulating the allure of imperfection.

Behind the design stands the ingenious mind of Pavel Vishnevsky, whose passion for furniture design shines through in every creation.

“During my university studies, I embarked on a journey to find my own pictorial language, and I discovered that translating it into furniture pieces is my true form of expression. Creating design furniture has become my foremost occupation, a path I will pursue for the rest of my life. I greatly enjoy creating abstract bionic forms that evoke the essence of living things.”

Pavel's imagery and designs are born from abstract sketches, beautifully materialized through pencil strokes on paper. These initial sketches evolve into intricate drawings and come to life as clay models or stunning 3D recreations.

Recycled paper takes center stage as the primary material in Pavel's works, adorned with decorative elements that enhance their originality and unique character.

Jackie Slanley work utilizes laser-cut plexiglass as a mode of storytelling. She re-contextualizes archived images of flora, fauna, and environments to explore relationships between history, fiction, and experience.

Plexi is cut, layered, and fastened together with nuts and bolts, a balancing act that brings poise to their simultaneous instability. Film-like gradient is built up with many layers of tinted transparencies, precipitating each color glow from within.

Using vectors to create digital imagery, she is drawn to symbols that has endured through time by way of myth. For example, fire from the first archived depictions of Hell in 12th century Japanese scrolls can be found rising from every one of the sculptures, each piece set ablaze, depicting a world on fire.

Ezornil by Nick Ervinck

Nick Ervinck designed a sculpture that is inspired by blooming flowers, like the structure of a rose. Because of the many cut-outs in the organic structure, the design seems to have no volume.

Although the material is solid, it nevertheless seems delicate. The shape of the design keeps changing, keeps evolving, keeps fascinating. Through 3D printing Nick Ervinck is able to capture this movement in a still image.

As always, Nick tries to create an openness that will attract the viewer to consider his work from different angles.The sculptural contradictions, such as inside/outside and rough/smooth, make this work purely poetic. The gradient also contributes to this poetic design language. Ezornil could be described as a poem manifested in physical form.
