Meet — our June Pick ❤️‍🔥 and a man who genuinely cannot be boxed in. Photographer, creative polymath & long-time Jacquemus collaborator.

We sat down with David last week to talk about his work, the hunger for real connection and what it means to build a creative practice with no ceiling.

His images grab you somewhere between the throat and the gut — bold, playful and deliciously surreal.

The first image was a particular favourite of SARAH WILLIAMS 🩴 Go check out his work if you don’t already know it. & keep an eye on his account for details of his upcoming book launch 💦

Our May pick is 🌍

Based in London, Felix O’Malley’s work is shaped by movement, curiosity and the experiences he’s collected over the last few years travelling across different parts of the world. Whether walking, hitchhiking, sailing or cycling, photography has become his way of documenting moments that might otherwise disappear.

What stands out is the feeling of being alongside him as he travels. There’s an openness to the way he shoots that makes each frame feel unfiltered and genuine. Rather than chasing polished moments, he focuses on the people, places and details that often pass unnoticed.

We love how his work creates a sense of connection and gives a glimpse into experiences far beyond our own. Which image of his caught you first? 👇🏼

Our April pick is 🌷

Based in East London, Leonie Freeman moves between personal and commercial work with a clear point of view. Her interest in subculture and identity runs through everything she shoots, giving the work a strong sense of character.

What stands out is how deliberate each image feels. The framing is sharp, the details are thought through, and nothing feels overworked. There’s a quiet confidence in the way she builds a scene. It feels natural but never casual. The result is work you don’t move past quickly.

We love how she captures children in a way that feels distinct and of the moment. Which image of hers caught you first? 👇🏼

Our April pick is 🌷

Based in London, Leonie Freeman moves between personal and commercial work with a clear point of view. Her interest in subculture and identity runs through everything she shoots, giving the work a strong sense of character.

What stands out is her sense of control within each frame. Every element feels placed with intent, from composition to gesture. There’s a balance in her work. It sits between playful and precise, where natural moments meet strong visual decisions.

The result is work that holds your attention without trying too hard. We love how she captures children in a way that feels fresh and unexpected. What do you think? 👇🏼

Our fashionably late March pick is 🥵

Currently based in London, Shan Stewart moved from corporate tax into photography after a career change that feels reflected in his work. Born in South Africa and raised in Australia, his background informs a direct, stripped-back approach to image making.

We’re drawn to how he used light. It feels staged but never forced, with portraits that hold attitude without losing control. There’s a strong sense of mood running though his work, but it never slips into overstatement.

Each image feels like it knows exactly what it wants to say. What do you think? 👇🏼

Our February pick is 🖤

Polish/British analogue photographer based in London, Maya is carving out a space that feels fresh and confident. Her portraits are intimate and self assured, sitting between fashion and documentary while keeping real presence at the centre of the frame. We love her eye and the direction she’s heading in 🔥

She’s also hosting a Huddle on Darklight Pro on 5th March, diving into film vs digital and how each shapes your creative process. Sign up via the link in bio 🔗
