PEDESTAL BOWL…
Handcrafted ceramic pedestal bowl by Fran Aniorte, made in Barcelona.

Shaped in high-fired white stoneware, this piece reinterprets classical Mediterranean forms through a sculptural lens. The elevated base gives the bowl a strong architectural presence, while its proportions remain balanced and organic.

The surface is finished with expressive cobalt blue brushstrokes, where abstracted motifs and gestural marks emerge intuitively across the form. Texture, movement and spontaneity define the piece, placing it between functional object and sculptural work.

Each piece is unique, with variations that reflect the immediacy of the artist’s hand.

This one of a kind metal sculpture belongs to Paseos por el soporte, Manterola’s first sculptural series, characterized by solid, compact forms. Each piece rises from the ground, traverses space through oscillating structures, and returns to the earth, creating a closed cycle of movement.

The series reflects the artist’s early investigation into how motion can be fixed in matter. Each sculpture is unique and non-reproducible, expressing weight, continuity and the permanence of movement captured in time.
