Under the auspices of Hybrid Arte, we present Luz & Mannion from the DOTDOTDOT Flamenco Dance Company, an emerging dancer and choreographer duo from London and Madrid. The two choreographers do not conform to the usual flamenco stereotypes, but instead scrutinize the potential of this powerful and dynamic art, paying tribute to its traditional forms, whilst enhancing its boundaries. In the space provided by the Hotel patio, the two dancers will offer sequences belonging to their production ReRed; a re-reading and re-interpretation of fairy tales, while delving into the role they play in the collective experience of women.

Come find us next Saturday at 18:30pm at the patio of Santa Barbara at Hybrid Arte.

Here comes Wiebke, who will be as well one of our talented artists tomorrow🤩

Wiebke was born in Hamburg and knows almost every nook and cranny of this city. Her passion is to take people into a fictional world and to create true feelings in their hearts. She has been breathing theater air since childhood and has been allowed to give her art to several roles such as Margot in Anne Frank (2015). Currently she is a student at an acting school to take her passion to the next level.

Charlotte Österheld was born and raised in Hamburg-Altona. Since a young age she always had a passion for music and acting.

During her studies in georgraphy she also worked as a model and continued playing on stages as a bassoonist. Her love for the stage brought her to the Schule für Schauspie Hamburg, where, since 2021, she started her acting education.

Welcome Tom as a new member to perform at BALCONY AFFAIRS in two days🤩

Tom Seack born in Hamburg 1998 is a drama school student at the School of Acting Hamburg in his second semester. Before he played in a community theatre and took part in small film projects.

Tina Burova is a violinist from Latvia, where she also graduated the solo violin. She lives in Hamburg since 2019 and plays from folk to rock. She was one of the founders and early members of the underground rock/improvisation collective “Human Growth Harmony” - active in Copenhagen (Denmark) since 2015. At the moment she is focusing on jazz and popular music and is part of the Michel Schroeder Ensemble.

Jasmin Baltres () from newly founded is well known for creating interactive situations that challenge the relationship between people and space using food as a sensual medium for arrival. Her culinary concepts are widely appreciated, not only since her co-creation of Aperitivo Bar STANDARD in Hamburg. She has been part of numerous collective projects and neighbourhood initiatives such as Garden, HALLO Festspiele and Radio Archipel, Wilhelmsburg.

Hola José!

José Francisco is Dominican violinist based in Hamburg. He graduated from the MCU University of Florida in classical violin and is currently finishing his studies (Jazz violin) at the international school of contemporary music "Unphu" in the Dominican Republic. José Francisco has been part of international projects and has participated as a violinist and arranger for important artists around the world. He is currently the president of FUNCEM which is a non-profit foundation that is in charge of helping underprivileged children in the Dominican Republic.

Welcome Esther! Happy to have you as one of our talented musicians💚

Esther Thoben (*born 1998 in Berlin) is a Cellist, enjoying and playing many different genres of music. At the age of seven, she received her first cello lessons, enjoyed chamber music and playing in the orchestra. Currently she is studying at the HfMT Hamburg. In addition to her studies of classical music, she also plays Jazz and improvised music. The cellist is supported by the „Haspa Music Foundation Hamburg“. Her passion is to explore the world through music.

¡Hola Olaf! Looking forward to see again the choreographer of “Y ahora qué?“, an electronic ballet, that was created for our first BALCONY AFFAIRS last year in Berlin.

It will return for the 29th of May🤍

Olaf Kollmannsperger comes from Spain,
started dancing at the age of 8 and completed the Royal Professional Conservatory of Dance in Madrid 10 years after.

Since 2014, he’s First Soloist dancer at Staatsballett Berlin where he’s currently located.
In 2010 he joined the Ballett Zürich being Promoted as Principal Dancer in that same year.
From 2005 to 2010 he danced at Royal Swedish Ballet and Stockholm 59` NORTH .

Olaf´s counts in his resume numerous principal roles, for instance Woyzeck in “Woyzeck” Choreography by Christian Spuck, Prince Siegfried and Benno in “Swan Lake” By Heinz Spoerli and Patrice Bart, Romeo in “Romeo and Julia” two versions: by Christian Spuck and Kenneth MacMillan, Franz in "Coppelia”by Marc Ribaud, Leonce in “Leonce and Lena” by Christian Spuck, Prince Desire in “Sleeping Beauty” by Mats Ek, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet from John Cranko.
As well as many other recognized choreographers such as Nacho Duato, Jiří Kylián, Maurice Béjart, George Balanchine, Sharon Eyal, Willian Fortsyte, Nils Christe, Jean Christophe Maillot, Krzysztof Pastor, Mauro Bigonzetti, Alonzo King, Makarova, Alexei Ratmanski and John Neumeier.

Olaf has also experience as a choreographer, making Balcony Affairs piece his 10th creation.
He started choreographing and finding his own vocabulary in the end of his school training in 2004.
The process of creating and putting together a new piece of art inspires and let him express himself in deferent levels.
He finds it very important to find a clear subject and make a good research in order to develop a sense in a storyline between the steps, the music and the various emotions.
