This one was hard! I was trying to process the fact that New Year's Eve was canceled! So frustrating for us Puerto Ricans.

Have you had a similar experience where you had high expectations and suddenly everything changed? I bet you do. This is what this project is about. But you know what, Life goes on; let's be grateful.

Santo Domingo it is!!! The capital of the Dominican Republic is hosting the 10th PhotoImagen Bienal. This time is about femininity. Yay!

So the thing is, Puerto Rico was invited to be part of it. Thanks to the amazing curator, Irene Estévez, I am part of such an amazing Puerto Rican collective. I have the honor to share the space with Tari Beroszi, Eduardo Cabrera, Carola Cintrón Moscoso, Rosario Fernández, Héctor Méndez Caratini, Lilliam Nieves, Marisol Plard, Dhara Rivera, Yamcy Leslie Rodríguez, Aaron Salabarrías, Víctor Vázquez y Norma Vila.

And of course, you are all invited to experience this broad subject, which is not only about women photographers as you may have seen on the participators list. So if you are nearby, please feel more than welcome to enjoy our exhibit. It is located in Museo Fernando Peña de Pilló and will be open to the public until September 30th.

Exhibición fotográfica en el Viejo San Juan.

La artista y fotógrafa Zuania Muñiz Meléndez nos presenta su primera exhibición individual luego de dos años en Madrid.

Mediante su creación artística conceptual con influencias surrealista, Zuania nos expresa varios temas muy actuales y de gran importancia que nos invitan a la reflexión profunda de nuestros sentimientos, valores y cultura. Zuania nos exhorta a florecer y renacer como metáforas de la fortaleza de los y las puertorriqueños/as a seguir "pa'lante" antes los múltiples obstáculos que la vida les ha presentado (el huracán María, temblores, la pandemia del Covid-19, etc).

"The eye has to travel" brooches by Patricia Nicolás, Spanish Jewelrer.

The concept and design developed was based on the brand main attributes: creativity, fantasy, beauty, and art. Surrealist models were created to showcase possible scenarios through which the eye may travel, honoring the collection tittle.
