What an inspiring evening! ✨ On 27 September, Opera Gallery Houston joined forces with the Ismaili Center Houston, the Rothko Chapel and PaperCity Houston for the Texas Contemporary Artist Panel, extending the conversation of our 'Texas Contemporary' exhibition beyond the gallery walls.

Moderated by Abdulla Antepli of the Rothko Chapel and joined by Catherine Anspon of PaperCity, artists Lovie Olivia, Eric DePan, Preston Douglas Boyer, Reynier Leyva Novo, Virginia L. Montgomery and Bradley Kerl shared their perspectives on Texas contemporary art, Houston's vibrant cultural landscape, and the role artists and institutions play in fostering dialogue and reflecting the communities around them.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners, the artists and everyone who joined us for this meaningful conversation.

'Texas Contemporary' is on view at Opera Gallery Houston until 18 October.

NOW OPEN at Opera Gallery Geneva: Belgian artist Fred Eerdekens returns with a new solo exhibition, on view until 30 October.

In more than twenty works, lines of metal and abstract forms gradually give way to words and phrases, some emerging in shadow, others revealed only from a precise point of view. Beneath their apparent simplicity lies striking precision, inviting viewers to look twice and let memory and imagination fill in the rest.

Through a series of interconnected works, the Spanish artist explores memory, perception and the passage of time with his instinctive, expressive brushwork. Quiet yet intense, his figures and landscapes leave space for each viewer to find their own meaning within the scene.

In parallel, his solo exhibition at Opera Gallery Monaco remains on view until 31 October.

Last days to visit ‘François Bard, Un soleil immense’, on view through 7 October at Opera Gallery Paris. ⏳

Drawing on the dramatic contrasts of chiaroscuro and the legacy of European painting, François Bard creates solitary figures that emerge from dark, atmospheric settings with an almost cinematic presence. His suspended narratives explore light, memory and mortality, leaving space for ambiguity and interpretation.

Belgian artist Fred Eerdekens returns to Opera Gallery Geneva with a new solo exhibition, on view from 9 to 30 October. ✨

Across more than twenty works, metal lines and abstract forms slowly reveal words and phrases, some cast in shadow, others visible only from a single viewpoint. Behind this apparent simplicity lies remarkable precision, inviting us to look again and let memory and imagination take over.

Opening 16 October at Opera Gallery Paris, ‘Warhol, Basquiat, Haring. Une amitié artistique’ reunites three icons of 1980s New York.

Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring crossed paths at a time when the boundaries between street, studio, music, nightlife and gallery were being rewritten. Each developed a singular visual language, yet all three shared a fascination with contemporary culture and the power of images, signs and symbols.

Forty years on, their work remains as bold, immediate and provocative as ever. Step into their New York.
