Something personal I want to share.
For twenty six years I've been teaching artists and students a way of seeing — how to notice what's alive in your work, how to separate signal from noise, how to let the practice change you instead of just chasing finished pieces.
I've finally given that practice a proper name: ApoKrino. It means creative discernment — learning to separate, judge, respond, and bring things into clearer relation.
I'm building it into an art app (live) and a maker app (live but not quite complete). I am writing about the ideas behind it on Substack. Both are works in progress, and I'd love your company along the way.
