AFTER LIGHT | JAKE PAUL WHITE

What remains when a landscape becomes memory?

In After Light, Jake Paul White | Abstract Artist draws from the quiet rhythms of desert landscapes, working with materials rooted in the land itself. Nopal and cochineal bring organic traces to the surface, connecting the work to ideas of sustenance, renewal, and cyclical time.

Soft horizons and shifting layers unfold slowly, echoing the vastness and stillness of arid environments. Rather than depicting a place, the painting creates a space to pause, to look inward and feel the quiet connection between land, time, and unseen forces.

SOARING: LIGHT AWAKENING FROM DARKNESS

What rises from darkness?

In Lee Hyun Jung’s Soaring: Light Awakening from Darkness, a phoenix emerges through the blackness, carrying the promise of renewal, vitality, and hope.

The sweeping brushstrokes follow the curves of the traditional Korean fan, creating a sense of movement that feels almost breath-like. Each gesture carries the energy of spiritual practice, while the phoenix becomes a symbol of the light that can emerge after adversity.

A work about resilience, transformation, and the quiet force of beginning again.
