s an old fashioned prettiness, a gentleness and softness that we feel is sometimes missing in modern life with all the frenetic pace and stresses. And so we decided to call what we do, all of our arts and crafts... Gentle. It is that meditative state one can find in creativity, hours lost not worrying about life, or immersed in the beauty of creation, sometimes healing, sometimes energising, but always with a sense of achievement at making something beautiful. And the emotions of that time of creation are captive in that work, whether a personal piece, a gift, a commission or a piece for sale, a little of oneself is in that piece. Our experience also comes from a background of professional emotional support work, and art can be such a therapeutic tool for life. Gentle arts and crafts are just that... the gentle mental and emotional place these old fashioned crafts can take us to... a peaceful sanctuary. We teach now and then in gentle creative spaces, sanctuaries we carefully choose where people can come, feel valued and encouraged... and learn how to create some of our arts and crafts. From 2021 we will be starting a Youtube channel where we will share mini projects, part projects... gentle crafts online
