The idea of establishing Violence In The Veins as a label dedicated to underground sounds like Doom, Stoner, Crust, Sludge and others came about while sweating at

shows in small dark clubs. Working on upcoming vinyl records, cassettes, compact discs and, t-shirts are their principal activity. Violence In The Veins first came to life as a local show promoter in Spain working with artists such as Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Exodus, Voivod, Nashville Pussy, Cough, Today Is The Day, Fear Factory, Devin Townsend Project, Meshuggah, Volbeat, Cannibal Corpse, Hirax, Master and many others.

Yesterday, August 24th, marked six years since Riley Gale (1986–2020), the voice and soul of Power Trip and one of the most impactful figures in contemporary crossover thrash and hardcore, passed away.

To speak of Riley is not only to recall immortal tracks like “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe)” or the relentless force of Nightmare Logic. It is to remember a frontman who understood extreme music as a tool for transformation, community, and social justice. Riley built bridges where others erected barriers, tirelessly supported community causes, and always maintained an impeccable ethic within the underground scene.

He left us far too soon, at the age of 34, but his voice, his rage, and his humanity continue to resonate in every pit, every drum cymbal, and every riff.

Gone, but never forgotten. Rest in Power, Riley. 🪓🔥

In 1994, Burn My Eyes broke out like an earthquake in the middle of the post-thrash era, when the scene was looking for new voices and new ways to channel the fury. Machine Head appeared with a debut that not only defined his identity: he redrawn the metal map.

Riffs that cut like steel, a production that marked an era and a sound that mixed street rawness with an emotional intensity that few had achieved before. This album opened a door that thousands of bands crossed later.

It was the birth of an era.

His way of playing, his sensitivity and that energy of his continue to resonate in every album, in each live and in every person who crossed paths with his music.

He is not here, but his legacy is still alive, intact, powerful.
