Whilst there are many patchwork and quilting courses offered for a few days or even an entire week, we felt that there was often too much emphasis placed on the classes themselves, which is not to say that they are not of course very important, and too little on the overall experience.
We want our students to return home feeling they have not only learnt a few new tricks but also that they have had a memorable and up-market holiday in beautiful and relaxed surroundings, perhaps more on a par with a husband's golfing holiday than with the sometimes rushed lessons and Spartan accommodation that are often associated with quilting and patchwork classes. The fact that we restrict the size of each course to between 6 and 10 students is a further reflection of the personal attention we wish to dedicate to each participant.
