Propuesta de ruta 9: PATRIMONIO RELIGIOSO: ERMITAS, CONVENTOS E IGLESISAS.
Itinerario: Casco de Icod de los Vinos.

Sinopsis:
El principal objetivo de la ruta del patrimonio religioso de Icod de los Vinos es el conocimiento y la puesta en valor de los principales templos y ermitas del casco del municipio. Para ello, y ante las obras que se están llevando a cabo en el templo parroquial de San
Marcos Evangelista, no se puede iniciar temporalmente el recorrido allí, sino que se hace al exterior, para hacer alusión breve a su arquitectura y al convento de monjas bernardas que estaba situado frente a la parroquia, hoy desaparecido.
Ascendiendo por la calle San Antonio se llega a la ermita del Buen Suceso, ligada a la fundación que realizó Francisco Leonardo Guerra del Hospital de los Dolores en el siglo XVII. Allí destacamos su sepultura y el papel fundamental que ejercía el hospital en el municipio.
La siguiente parada es el antiguo convento del Espíritu Santo, actual Iglesia de San Francisco, donde se visita el templo con las curiosidades que en él hay, como las tribunas para los patronos o las sepulturas según el estamento social del fallecido.
Ligada a la fundación conventual se encuentra la capilla de los Dolores, fundada en el siglo XVIII y conservada casi de una manera intacta hasta nuestros días. Su pavimento, artesonado o escalera del camarín son los principales elementos que se destacan.
La ruta finaliza en el otro convento, el de la orden agustina, situado en el primitivo emplazamiento de la ermita de San Sebastián.

Route proposal 9: RELIGIOUS HERITAGE: HERMITAGES, CONVENTS AND CHURCHES.
Itinerary: Town of Icod de los Vinos.

Synopsis:
The main objective of the route of the religious heritage of Icod de los Vinos is the knowledge and enhancement of the main temples and hermitages of the town center. To do this, and given the works that are being carried out in the parish church of San
Marcos Evangelista, it is not possible to temporarily start the tour there, but rather it is done outside, to make a brief allusion to its architecture and the Bernardine nunnery that was located in front of the parish, now disappeared.
Going up Calle San Antonio, you reach the hermitage of Buen Suceso, linked to the founding by Francisco Leonardo Guerra of the Hospital de los Dolores in the 17th century. There we highlight his grave and the fundamental role that the hospital played in the municipality.
The next stop is the former convent of the Holy Spirit, now the Church of San Francisco, where you can visit the temple with its curiosities, such as the tribunes for the patrons or the graves according to the social status of the deceased.
Linked to the conventual foundation is the chapel of Los Dolores, founded in the 18th century and preserved almost intact to the present day. Its pavement, coffered ceiling or dressing room staircase are the main elements that stand out.
The route ends at the other convent, that of the Augustinian order, located on the original site of the hermitage of San Sebastián.
