Thanks for all the Birthday love yesterday 💞 had a lovely week with the boys and managed to get the tree up too :)

Due to the latest Spanish travel rules I can no longer travel smoothly between Ibiza and the UK so until I have this in hand I have postponed my upcoming gigs at home, including Northampton this Saturday. Gutted I’m missing this one but wishing .ldn all the best for their launch night!

Going to be hibernating for the winter while I take some time for myself, so just want to take the chance now to wish each of you all the best you can have for the festive period and hope it is filled with love and laughter. I will be especially thinking of all my people who have lost someone close this year too, It’s been another crazy year that has taken too many of the best. Stay safe out there, big love 💞

Receipts.
The beginning. And yes, I dj’ed in heels ( for hours) and carried two bags of wax ( when record bags didn’t have wheels )! I also slept on couches, took loads of buses and public transport ( I was too broke for taxis), played loads of gigs for little money ( got stiffed a couple times too ) and did whatever I had to do to make my dream of just being able to dj and eat from it ( yes there is no shame in wanting to be paid for your craft ). This was before social media and the grind was real. It wasn’t easy, especially for someone like me ( trans, black, a woman) and it was strictly a boys club, but I loved the music so much and I believed in myself in that I knew I could do it if I was just given the chance. This picture reminds me of hard work, perseverance, evolution, hunger, and drive. Thank you for sharing these pics of important moments in my life. As my mother always said, you may see my glory, but you don’t know my story!
