phic & web designer and do music mastering for different labels with my project “Maledictis Productions”, I make music and perform it Live through the galaxy under the name of Multiman. This website, Logo, Sound libraries and artwork have been made by me just pretending to be someone else and trying to make it look very Pro. Inspektor Gadjet is a project that I started in 2012 as a way of organising and collecting all the bits of information I gather through the making of various projects that had to do with music and sound. I’m obsessed with finding new sounds, tweaking synths, circuit bending, micro controllers and sound recordings, which have led me to strange and amazing results. As a musician, I started composing music back in 1999, never defining clearly a style but rather experimenting and mixing ideas… Coming from a background of Jazz and hip hop, I quickly started to experiment with new tempos, sounds and machines… A recursive element in my sets was the use of my own modified toys, computer games, theremins, DIY music devices and hardware samplers or synthesizers. Is in 2003 when I started experimenting with “Circuit bending” and adding this new sound palette to my trance-techno Live set, from there I moved to my first DIY music device, an optic Theremin and a year later a real analog Theremin. Back in 2012-13 I have accomplished an Ultrasonic MIDI Controller Device, Time lapse Photography devices, Analog Synths and filters, Drum MIDI modules, Gambeboy MIDI interfaces, CNC…

Hola mi nombre es Julián Calvo Orquín soy español y actualmente vivo en las montañas de Andalucía haciendo un poquito de jardinería, gallinas y un montón de proyectos DIY. Una de mis pasiones es re-usar o reciclar maquinaria y en realidad cualquier cosa para hacer mis proyectos. Porque tengo que ganar dinero, trabajo por cuenta propia como diseñador gráfico & web y hago Mastering de discos para distintos sellos discográficos con mi proyecto “Maledictis Producciones”, Compongo música y la toco en directo a través de la galaxia bajo el seudónimo de Multiman. Esta página web, Logotipo, librerías de Sonido y artwork en general han sido hechos por mí pretendiendo ser otra persona para hacerlo lucir muy Pro. Inspektor Gadjet es un proyecto que comienzo en 2012 como una forma de organizar y coleccionar información que he acumulado tras hacer varios proyectos siempre relacionados con música y sonido. Estoy obsesionado con encontrar nuevos sonidos, toquetear sintes, circuit bending, micro controladores y grabaciones de sonido, que me han llevado a algunos extraños e increíbles resultados. Como músico, comencé a componer música en 1999, nunca definí claramente un estilo en lugar de ello siempre me ha gustado experimentar y mezclar ideas. Viniendo de una educación musical de Jazz y Hip hop, comencé a experimentar rápidamente con nuevos tempos, sonidos y maquinas… Un elemento recursivo de mis sets es el uso de mis propios juguetes modificados, video consolas, theremins, aparatos musicales hechos a mano, samplers o sintetizadores. Es en 2003 cuando comencé a experimentar en el mundo del “Circuit Bending” y añadiendo esta nueva paleta sonora a mis live sets de trance-techno, desde ahí empecé a tomármelo mas en serio y desarrollé mi primer aparato musical, un Theremin óptico y al año siguiente uno analógico. Inspektor Gadjet es un proyecto para mi música mas experimental, actuaciones en vivo, instalaciones audiovisuales, aparatos DIY y otras cosillas interesantes…
La idea detrás del proyecto es hacer accesible a la gente la información, hardware y software que “Inspektor Gadjet” crea para sus propias “performances” e instalaciones.
