Después de mucho tiempo cocinando este segundo número de Important & Stupid por fin ha salido del horno! Este posterzine incluye un texto de le sudaka autogestionade Awkan donde reflexiona sobre las tartas y el antiespecismo a través de su proyecto Koneku Vegan Food. Entrevistamos a la artista y we**am performer Lindsay Dye sobre sus performances de cake-sitting. Y el póster nos muestra una las icónicas esculturas de gelatina de la activista por la discapacidad Sharona Franklin, titulada “Limeflower Heterodoxy”.

After baking for a long time this second issue of Important & Stupid, it has finally come out of the oven! This posterzine includes a text by the self-managed sudaka Awkan where they reflect on cakes and antispeciesism through their project Koneku Vegan Food. We interviewed artist and we**am performer Lindsay Dye about her cake-sitting performances. And the poster shows us one of the iconic gelatin sculptures of disability activist Sharona Franklin, titled “Limeflower Heterodoxy.”

[English below] La semana pasada se presentó el Poemario Visibilidad Lé***ca que recopila los poemas presentados en el concurso convocado por la Oficina de Diversidad Sexual e Identidad de Género durante la Semana de la Visibilidad Lé***ca.
·
Para nosotras el proyecto comenzó con este concurso y el Poetry Slam donde algunas autoras participaron y al que asistimos emocionadas. Después de la maquetación e ilustración de cada uno de los poemas, este proceso editorial experimental que empezó aquella semana culminó el jueves pasado con la presentación de la publicación. nos habló de “Nuestras plumas, escrituras lesbianas y queer”, y algunas de las autoras dieron voz a sus poemas.

[En] Last week was the presentation of the Poemario Visibilidad Lé***ca, which compiles the poems presented for the contest organised by the Office of Sexual Diversity and Gender Identity of the UCM during the Le***an Visibility Week.
·
For us the project began with this contest and the Poetry Slam where some authors participated and which we eagerly attended. After the editorial design and illustration of each of the poems, this experimental editorial process that began that week culminated last thursday with the presentation of the publication. Gloria Fortún told us about “Nuestras plumas, escrituras lesbianas y queer,” and some of the authors gave voice to their poems.

[Spanish below] A few months back, Bartlebooth invited us to be guest editors for the first issue of Atlas Minor. ‘Sexual Dissidence – From vulnerability and resistance’ is a selection of four interdisciplinary works that investigate different non-representational forms of space through sexual dissident experiences. Ya disponible en nuestra web Atlas Menor #1: Disidencia Sexual, el primer número de una colección que pretende cuestionar y reformular la idea totalizadora y representacional de la cartografía a través de números periódicos en torno a un temáticas espaciales y vectores concretos.

El primero, editado con mucho cariño por Ana Olmedo y Elena Águila VenidaDevenida explora la cartografía desde la disidencia sexual a través de los trabajos QT.bot de Lucas LaRochelle, una continuación especulativa de Queering The Map; Lesboanimitas, un trabajo de memoria histórica increíble de Nuc Beade, y Le***an Bedrooms II, un proyecto fotográfico de le artista Kyle Lasky. Todo ello introducido por un texto fantástico de la artista y filósofa Yera Moreno. Un librillo y 3 mapas A2 impresos a todo color en funda serigrafiada.

[Spanish below] It’s been a long journey, but together with a group of friends we have finally managed to publish the first issue of the posterzine Important & Stupid that talks about the politics of daily objects. The first issue is dedicated to sneakers, and features the work of nucbeade in relation to their short film “A wild dedication” (you have to check it out!), an interview with the amazing Estileras and their project "Calçado de Monstro", and the message of "End Sneaker Violence" spread by Fuggit with its designs.

Working with friends has been a terrific experience, with Paula, Mariate and Gema.

Este último número está dedicado al cuerpo como espacio editado y hemos contribuido con un texto sobre "Identification Failed", un proyecto que formó parte de la I Bienal Internacional de Arquitectura de Euskadi.
