¿De dónde surge el título La revuelta y la nieve?
De Révolte dans les Asturies (1935), la obra de teatro coescrita por un joven Albert Camus a partir de la Revolución de Octubre de 1934. Una obra atravesada por una preocupación que sigue resonando hoy: cómo evitar que la memoria caiga en el olvido.
Esa idea es el punto de partida de La revuelta y la nieve: Camus y la Cuenca Asturiana, el documental que abre la exposición. Un recorrido por la historia de la minería asturiana donde la mina aparece como un archivo de vidas, trabajo y resistencia.

Where does the title La revuelta y la nieve come from?
From Révolte dans les Asturies (1935), the play co-written by a young Albert Camus in response to the events of the 1934 October Revolution. A work marked by a concern that continues to resonate today: how to prevent memory from fading into oblivion.
This idea underpins La revuelta y la nieve: Camus and the Asturian Mining Basin, the documentary that opens the exhibition. It traces the history of mining in Asturias, where the mine emerges as an archive of lives, labour and resistance.
The documentary is on view at Pozu Santa Bárbara until 16 August.
