✨ Un patron, deux tissus… deux looks complètement différents.

J’avais déjà cousu le top Agathe dans ce joli tissu brodé, mais ses petits détails se perdaient un peu dans la broderie.

Alors j’ai eu envie de le refaire en soie… et cette fois, les lignes du modèle ressortent vraiment comme je l’imaginais. 🤍

How to Sew a Continuous Bound Placket ✂️🧵

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to sew a clean and durable continuous bound placket — perfect for sleeve openings on shirts, blouses, dresses and more.

STEP BY STEP:

1. Mark the placket opening with an erasable fabric marker and prepare your bias strip.
2. Sew two short reinforcement lines along both sides of the opening.
3. Carefully cut between the stitched lines, making sure not to cut the stitches.
4. Open the placket flat. Place the bias strip right side against the wrong side of the fabric and stitch along the opening.
5. Fold the bias over the raw edge, pin in place and topstitch a few millimetres from the edge.
6. Press well.
7. Place the two sides of the placket right sides together and stitch across the small triangle formed at the top.

✨ Give it one final press — and your continuous bound placket is finished!
